3D Are stock Blade 400 servos ok for fast foward flight?
I'm now able to fly semi-quick foward flight (maybe 25-35 mph) and practicing figure eights banking and turning semi-aggressively. I also like accelerating up quickly just for fun occasionally. During these maneuvers, do I risk stripping the stock servos in flight? I know they are fairly weak, I'm afraid to get too agressive and risk losing a gear.

Your thoughts?
Thanks!

I can't speak for other's, but I had no problem doing FFF, hard banked turns or flipping it with the stock servo's; the only time I did have an issue was when the ground wanted in on the action .

Just my 2 cents.

I haven't had my Blade 400 for all that long, but I've had no problems with the servos so far. I think the gear train is the same as the older S75 servo. I have those in my T-Rex 450SA and have had no issues with them in that application. I'm a fairly mild flier. Someone that puts more of a strain on their machine might offer a different opinion.Gerry Cullan,

The ground got to close and I had the second gear from the top strip a couple teeth .I just rotated it 90 degrees and back flying .

I have had the main shaft bend in some extreme 3d with grip flip .I bent it back on the lathe at home and dailed her back in . I havn't had that happen again .
