Just checked mine, my Vibe was new this last weekend, and has just under a gallon through it now, and sure enough, the holes are elongating. I just threw some stock 600N plastics on there (all I have handy) until I can get a set of carbons.Nick Crego

I red about the stock tail blades here in RR before
my Vibe 50 maidden flight.

At our club , we concluded stock tail balde were kind of heavy
( big ) for the blade´s holders design so based on RR comment I putted CY tail baldes, after 5 galons there are no problem whatsoever.

I am sorry but I do not remember the exact post I red it, nevetheless
I did take notice and did not used stock tail blades.

Just put 3 more flight on the Vibe today, and I can tell you that the 600N batman type blades are not a good solution. I didn't know that it was possible for blades to suck that bad. Nick Crego

Funny, the tail hub and grips are exactly the same as the Vibe 90, which runs even bigger tail blades.Terry

pinecone:

I found funny, like you, this thing because I understood Vibe 90 had same tail rotor blade holders than Vibe 50 but, Some one who owns a Vibe 90 told me different.

I can not be sure though, I have never seen a Vibe 90 in person.

Perhaps, someone owning both models can answer that; I have red before some of you own both models !

but like I mentioned before, I took note and replaced stock ones for CY CF which are much lighter.

It has nothing to do with the size of the blades, it's just that the materials the stock blades are made of aren't holding up to the forces being placed on them.Nick Crego

Maybe someone should check the tail gear ratio on the vibe 90. I don't know what it is but concerning the vibe 50, the tail ratio is the lowest of all 50s out there and the tail rotor is the largest one in diameter making it the most powerfull tail in the 50 sized market. Is this good? It sure is but it also has its drawbacks. While others are flying at 9000 rpm, the vibe 50 is pushing 10K+ with an 8mm larger diameter tail assembly... the forces are exponentially higher and any small flaw will result in failure. Don't ask me how I know.
