Oh Dennis. All the time, you do know what to say to me, I wish it would make more sense .
But, they are the ones that are threatening armegadon (sp). Not us.
Yup, that is correct, they threaten when people step on their toes, you invade someone and not necessarily the stepper...

A somewhat smoother approach might help, but remember when you have been stepping on peoples toes for decades, those toes are pretty soar...

Just how have we been stepping on peoples toes for decades Tintin?

I assume you mean us.

Well I've been trying to tell you that for quite a while now Dennis, if you haven't gotten the pic by now then it's not very likely it will help if I repeat myself now will it?“Getting an inch of snow is like winning 10 cents in the lottery.”

Look, I can't help you with your situation over there. Neither can you. Both of us are just little guys in the scheme of things here. Our words, our debate on this issue will make no difference at all.

Get with your family and friends and work it out with them, and draw comfort with them. You won't find it here Tintin.

If this is just a way for you to blow off steam, then go for it. Frankly, I am talked out on it with you.

Perhaps the Russians will make a move for Norway in the not too distant future. Of course, they may be intimidated by the stiff resistance Norway provided against the Nazis in WWII.

Maybe we'll sit that one out.

See what happens Tintin.

Thats why you are wasting your time here talking about this issue when you don't like the USA and you don't like the US Soldier that may have to come and bail you out of that jam over there.

Don't matter who you think created that issue.

After reading this thread i am amazed at the ridiculous responces there have been. First off, lay off the US army in Norway thing guys. The remarks i am hearing are implying a sort of "we are the strongest army" "we protect you" nonsence. I honestly don't feel the army is protecting me here in the US. How could I? How has my freedom bin threatened? I honestly can't remember. The funniest part of this whole Georgia Russia conflict was when good old Bush came on an anounced that Russia was the bully and needed to leave Georgia imidiatley. The irony of that statement is unbeliebable concidering we invaded Iraq for no particular reason and basically attacked a country (Afghanistan) for a crime that a orginization within them commited. (the single biggest mistake of 911 was calling it a military attack as oposed to a criminal attack) Argue what you want about Iraq having WMD's. Maybe, the masses of them were moved across the border without are satelites seeing them. Maybe they were bearied. I doubt it. Honestly, even if they had them, i didn't give a dam then and I still wouldn't now. Stop living in fear of us being attacked everyone. We are the single hardest nation to attack because of two brilliant parts of this world. The Pacific and Atlantice ocean.

A few comments on Cambo's post if I may...
First off, lay off the US army in Norway thing guys.
Yes sir! Anything else we may do for you today?

I agree. Those comments were the most ironic and dumbest comments I have ever heard uddered (pun intended) from that boobs mouth.

A correction though, we attacked the Taliban, who had control of Afghanistan, because they were harboring terrorists. They would not give them up freely.
(the single biggest mistake of 911 was calling it a military attack as oposed to a criminal attack)
9/11 was neither a criminal nor military attack. It was a terrorist attack.
Argue what you want about Iraq having WMD's. Maybe, the masses of them were moved across the border without are satelites seeing them. Maybe they were bearied.
There was an article posted here on RR from CNN's website in which the author of the article reported that 500 Tons of Uranium ore was shipped out of Iraq to Canada. They may have not had the WMD final products but they certainly appeared to have been interested in them. Lets not forget the gas attacks in the 1980's.
Honestly, even if they had them, i didn't give a dam then and I still wouldn't now.
And, why is that? Because it personally did not affect you? How can you be sure of that if Iraq had obtained Nuclear technology and detonated something in this country or somewhere else on this planet?
Stop living in fear of us being attacked everyone.
I agree, our government is preying on this fear right now.

And, the best for last.
We are the single hardest nation to attack because of two brilliant parts of this world. The Pacific and Atlantice ocean.
And yet the Japanese managed to attack American soil and the lowly dumb terrorists managed to temporarily cripple our economy and take down two land marks half a world away from theirs. Mind you, the terrorists were not impeded by either ocean.

Whats the difference when over 3000 people were killed? Just because they did not wear uniforms?

Thats implying that we should have sent the cops after them instead of the US Marines.

Frankly, I would favor the Marines.

Whats your favorite?

Or, maybe you would favor doing nothing.

All the ore that was sold to Canada was purchased in 1981 from Niger and had been cataloged and documented to the oz by UN inspectors, starting with Gulf War I. Their capability to process it into enriched uranium was bombed into oblivion in the early 80's by the Israelis.

No, i am not suggesting that we send the NYPD. I am merely pointing out how poorley the situtation was managed. I feel we imidiatley jumped the gun. The public imidaitley screemed war and before you know it we were invading them. Yes, it was a terriorist act but i feel it was treated more like a military attack. I mean, i am not sure there is much of a difference there but if a bunch of syco christian white guys did the exact same thing that day and they were based out of florida what would your reaction have been. Just food for the thaught.
And yet the Japanese managed to attack American soil and the lowly dumb terrorists managed to temporarily cripple our economy and take down two land marks half a world away from theirs. Mind you, the terrorists were not impeded by either ocean.
Yes, the japanes did carry out and attack on american soil. But i must remind you that the Japanes got horrible results and it wasn't on the continental US. Niether country actually faught on each others turf. The war in the pacific was over a bunch of islands. Similarly, if Germany had tacken Britian before we got there the US would have not been able its foot on European soil.
And, why is that? Because it personally did not affect you? How can you be sure of that if Iraq had obtained Nuclear technology and detonated something in this country or somewhere else on this planet?
Why is this, because if the US invaded every country that was developing weapons of mass destruction we would be all over the world. We are fine ones to talk with stock piles of nukes yet we go around telling everyone they shouldn't have.

I am not saying i want some tyrant to have bunch of nukes but at the same time no country is going to launch a nuclear missle. If we are attacked by a nuke i think it would happen just like the movie The Sum of All Fears. What is scary, is there is a movie that demostrates how to sneek a nuke into the country using shipping freights yet our docs arn't secure.

The last thing i want is a draft wich if Iran comes on the table is very possible. I was happy to see in the paper today that there might be plans to pull the troops out of Iraq very soon.

What it all comes down to is Americans are living in fear for absolutley no reason. Poloticions have used scare tactics to much. Kind of like the terrorist threat alerts. I liked knowing ahead of time how scared i should be.

Back to the Georgia Russia thing. Is it my understanding the Russia is completely or almost completely out of Georgia?

The way thats worded, I think its a question.

To answer it, I am not really afraid we are going to be attacked again.

But, it does seem inevitable, and there is not a heck of a lot I can do about it.

Why do you ask?
