Great videos and coverage. Will there be more interviews? I enjoy those.

And what's with every commentator taunting the pilots to fly lower? Kinda gets old hearing that throughout every flight. Lukas actually crashed while responding to the badgering.

Excellent Ircha event! I had a blast even though I had to take my 600N home in a much smaller box! Thanks to everyone who made this possible.

I agree PilotDaz. You would think the pilot has enough to worry about just trying to concentrate on flying before all those people and being filmed, and being asked some silly question by an interviewer and then John Q. Commentator comes on a loudspeaker with "he ain't playin" or "lower, lower". I understand the need for pilot introductions but beyond that why doesn't the announcer person just STFU? As a spectator I find it most annoying I can't begin to imagine what that must be like for a pilot. Maybe once you're at that level as a pilot it doesn't bother you. Can you imagine a golf tournament with that type of commentary being interjected as Tiger Woods is putting?

I couldn't agree more! All of this badgering is tasteless and upsetting to viewers. If you want to go lower than put your own $3000 machine on the line! The coverage is great but the interview during flights are distracting and a bit annoying not to mention the announcer. It's like watching a movie in the theaters and having a bunch of guys talking real loud and heckling....it's a pisser. My 2 cents.

bobby and nick were using the xerogear lights, bobby was controlling the lights on the boom and canopy with a seperate receiver and his caller was holding a remote and using the sliders on the remote to dim/turn on and off the lights. Andy rummer's setup was all custom, I saw the lights up close. It appears that he was running a hollow main shaft and running the wires up the main shaft out to the blades to turn them on and off. His rear tail rotor lights were in fact not a tail rotor. He had a fake pcb board type light system on the opposite side of the tail rotor that rotated with an electric motor and could turn the lights on and off.Justin - Team Horizon, Team Byron

Wow, everyone is pushing it very hard this year. Bravo! Accidents happen, sure... just as long as no one gets hurt. Lukas Riva really puts on a show! Encore!

I'm sure the pilot agreed to putting on a head set and having a talker next to them. It is part of the effect Mark Ryder wanted. I thought it is a cool idea, actually. However, it would be nice to have other non-narrated videos of the particular pilot so when replayed we don't have to hear the talking every time.

Last year someone talked the entire time while Daniel Jetschin was flying and while it was an amazing flight, the talking ruined the video shoot, IMO.

I agree Sam, I think it's cool to listen to the pilot talk while flying. No complaint there. The only thing that I find irritating is the constant "Lower.. lower.." banter we're always hearing.

If the pilot wants to fly lower, he will. Geesh!

Here's an idea, everyone that wants to chant "lower , , lower", they have to put money in the hat and when there is enough money to pay for a new heli, they will be allowed to chant away.
