DOH!

The 9452 is working just fine.... I was using a nearly dead battery pack on the servo tester. About 1:30am I went to test another servo in a plane, and it was dead... then I charged the rx pack, and all is well, so I scrambled to get the Frenzy ready for this morning, and about 4am I had to get some sleep. Last time I was up all night and went flying, it was a disaster... Anyhow, it wont be ready to fly today, I'm not gonna rush it... I'll have it for flying after work this week though.... so today it's off to the field to fly the Rappy and the 450, along with a couple planes... yesterday my Shrike managed 98mph according to my eagletree unit, today I expect to break 100 I managed to reduce the weight, and changed props...

I can relate to those kind of days Odam! Think we've all had them.
hopefully you are good to go now!
I still haven't felt to hot so have not been out flying at all! I have to see the cardiologist and oncologist in the next few weeks.

Well, I made it to 111MPH with the Shrike... that was cool. then I dumb thumbed it into the ground, lost orientation and was inverted, but didnt realize it, and was getting close to the ground, so I puled up and down she went.... figure it was going a lot faster than 111 when it went in too... he he

Funny thing though, as I stood there looking at the spot where it went in, I realized I had hit throttle hold when I knew I couldnt save it... he he... I guess that means I'm finally doing it without thinking about it...

Still waiting for my parts... They havent shipped my order of parts to fix it, but they did ship the spare airframe, so once it gets here, I'm set for the .50 anyhow, who knows when I'll get to fly the .90 again... at least once the parts come, and the spare airframes, I'll be set for a while...

Alright, I flew the Frenzy 50 again finally... I managed to scavange the parts I needed from the demolished ElyQ 50 and my JS .90

By the time I got it together and set up tonight, and up to the field, I only had time for one tank, but it sure was nice to fly it again

Oh Yeah Baby!
I flew my frenzy again last night, I was a bit nervous as I had crashed my other heli's recently, and the cost of blades kind of hurts the budget. I wonder whats taking HC so long to ship your parts Odam? They must be back ordered or something.
I don't what it is with this bird but I sure like flying it! Better than my T-rex's for some reason!

Sorry Papa Sal, none at all...

Sonny, they finally shipped the last order... nope, everything was in stock when I ordered it...

Today my second .50 kit showed up, and the other day the order with servos etc arrived, so I'm just putting together the second .50 so now I'll have the raptor, and two frenzies... plus the 90 once the parts come. I'll have a second .90 kit, but won't be building it, it will be for parts...

Thats crazy how long it took to ship! They are not usually that bad! By now, you must be pretty much together, now that its windy out for most of the weekend! Wouldn't you know!

Papa Sal, not any experience with that bird either, I've not even seen one!

Yep, work sucks, but gotta pay for the toys, and unless a nice big lottery win comes along, things won't change for the foreseeable future...

Well, the weather was the pits this weekend, no flying, but I have the second .50 kit put together... so now two frenzy 50's although I haven't flown the second one yet.

My parts to fix the .90 are sitting in customs, was hoping I'd get them tomorrow, and I still might, but once they come, I'll get the .90 back together, I really am looking forward to flying it again, I only got 4 tanks on it before the mishap with the servo arm coming off...

I built a new plane this weekend too, 36" wingspan, foam core wings, I put LEDs under the covering on the wings (top and bottom along the leading edge) and on the leading edge of the horizontal stab. I'll freak a few people out when suddenly the lights come on I have em hooked up to the gear channel. Still have to maiden this plane though, went electric this time...

Tomorrow night is heli night at the club (the airplane club.... at the heli club, every night is heli night) so I will get to fly the new frenzy... I was gonna set up a 450 for night flying, but never got the chance...

I'd go fly. You have all summer to fix the 90 and fly it. The season is just beginning.

Carpe Diem!!!

Oh Damn!

I chose to stay home and fix the .90 and discovered that a tail blade grip is broken, and I did not order a replacement...

I have the spare .90 airframe on the way... and it will probably be another week in customs as seems to be the usual these days for non EMS shipments
