I use them to straighten shafts. I had to straighten a crankshaft in an airplane motor I had and the v blocks hold the shafts real nice and easy so you can tap the end of the shafts or cranks. Just another helpful little tool.Carpe Diem!!!

v-blocks a percision machined block with a v machined in it i use them to check streightnes if shafts with one on each end using the dial indicator in the middle . i know shafts are not expensive but i check new and used shafts before putting them into a heli cant he to careful with these machines. and after a crash all need to cbe checked for streightness. but i have got a new one out of the package that was bent as well. so i check all of them.WHAT DO YOU MEAN ITS NOT SET UP FOR THAT, OH THATS WHAT YOU MEAN

man it sure was nice this wekend not a drip of rain and mid 50s to low 60s all weekend. had a great time flying the 3 helis i have flyable tried some new stuff to. its strange but i have never flown in a complete circle till sunday. it was kind of scary at first never flying a circle in forward flight but im comfortable with it. just to easy to fly figure 8 patterns. and did alot of inverted vovering this weekend and with the 3g flybarless system its just to easy. its cheating but it looks cool so im good with itWHAT DO YOU MEAN ITS NOT SET UP FOR THAT, OH THATS WHAT YOU MEAN

well i inherited all my measuring stuff when my father passed away he worked for warn industries for many years as quality controol he had a machinests box full of measuring tools but i have seen them at harbor freight. thay dont have to be real percise but thay are handy to have when needed.
if your good with wood working you could make a set out of hard wood its just a block with a v. if you had a router table you could make some

Hi vinnielopez, welcome to our little group here...

Rudder, that is a nice looking canopy, but I'll stick to my two toned orange/yellow canopies for now, I still use that orange a lot for orientation... plus I like the look of em...

My only problem has been fuel making the paint sticky after a while, on the exhaust side of the canopy, it starts getting soft and dirty... I just picked up a can of a high gloss fuel proof clear coat paint at the LHS today, gonna order another canopy and once I paint it, cover with this and see if that works...

I do about 10 light coats with a clear laquer... I've tried a few different clear coats from the hardware and craft stores... but now I have some actual "fuel proof" clear coat made for airplanes, but should work OK for my canopies...

I may be ordering the TZv2 90 this week.... just waiting to hear on a motor... they guy said someone was gonna pick it up tomorrow, but if he doesn't then its mine (for a good price) If I get the motor, then I'll go ahead and order the 90, but may have to wait another month for a pipe and blades, plus servos...

Woo Hoo! A 90!!
How are fuel prices this year in Canada? We still don't really know here as yet. But I know 90's really like fuel from what I've heard.
I flew the 600N today, it wasn't too bad out earlier this afternoon. Now we have a little white stuff in the air! Hopefully it too melts!
