Cobra, thats true, but the bigger ones are more forgiving as far as moves go, and easier to see. Just keep em up in the air and you'll progress faster, then fly the 500. Its not much bigger than the 450 so its gunna be harder to fly than the bigger machines. +
Thats my humble opinion on the matter!!!

The wind here yesterday stopped us from flying...

We had reported wind speeds of 115 km/h at the airport, and 130 km/h downtown...

I had come home to pick up the wife and go back to the club to bbq and fly, but it was too windy for me to fly, so decided to just work on my 450's. It was so windy that we couldn't even light the BBQ, and my 450 blew off the table when I let go of it! Then I look over and my friend Park is flying inverted circuits! Wow! He's an awesome pilot, but still... He decided to do an auto, and came down, flared nicely into the wind, touched down, and a big gust of wind came up and picked up his Trex 700 and flipped it over!

What a windy day... Today is better, but it keeps raining, so we got some flights in between the showers this morning, I even flew my Floater Jet, but decided to come home and spend a bit of time here, since I've been spending all my time up at the club...

Wow, thats some wind!!! You know its windy when you can't get the BBQ lit!!! Especially windy when it blows a 700 over just sitting there! It rained here this afternoon, I was going to go to the field this morning and went to get my stuff and then came back up the stairs and it was raining out! So i went to the HS and hung out a little. Then the rain quit so i flew a tank and when my flyin partner got off work we went to fly. I had a mishap when a car decided to come into the parking lot and was headed toward my heli as i was headed its way, I gave her a jerk and took out my blades! DAng!! I also put a small dent in the tail boom but didn't seem to bend it! I'll put another set on it and spool it up and see if I did any other damage, but nothing obvious. First time that happened in our flying spot! Check out the photo's under the events section, midwest sun downers! What a great time!

HIYA bouys!!!!! Sound like you guys are just ROCKIN! Good job! Team B.S. rules! I think I got all the bad habbits out of my Hawk and the Rex. They just lift off pretty as a picture. Been having all of Odams freinds Frick-N-Windy visit us here down South. But we flew any way. Not so hard to blow over the 700's.....but sure blew them around in the air.You know it windy when you do a loop and your bird comes to a dead stop at the bottom....GULP...and you didn't do it....GULP...GULP. But all in all it was a great weekend and everybody brought thier choppers home...in one piece

Hey Cobra, did ya have a brown streak moment!!!

Yeah, i imagine the 700 is a thirsty bird! especially if you run em a bit rich! Which is what i am doing with the 600 right now, i keep clicking the mixture one at a time using the finger test method PaPa Sal talked about way back when. I just got in the mail today an infrared thermometer to check it. Flew a few times yesterday and only once on Saturday at the fun fly, felt a bit embarrassed see all those pilots handle the wind!

Ya boy the wind has been something else around here lately. It calmed yesterday after the rain went through and we were out flyin as soon as we could. Today is really windy as well!

been a bit under the weather here but the literal weather has sucked anyways so not much flying the last couple weeks. however i do have my rappys flying perfect and i'm really loving the better servos in the new rappy. just need to get her out in some good weather and open her up. i'm also going to sell some airplane stuff and buy a new Tz frenzy heli from js. lots of good reviews and cheap replacement parts. sorry the pic sucks. don't think i'd shaved in a few days either. i've been sick and i'm starting to look like a street bum.

Hey Nate, hope you ain't got that swine flu!! Holy crap I guess thats got the scare into a bunch of folks!
I almost have my raptor together, anything special on the head on those to worry about! This one has the Xero G frame so the manual doesn't do me much good! Otherwise i am about to put the electrics in it and give it a go! The weather here has been awfully wet and windy also, hoping tomorrow will cut me some slack so i can go out and fly some!

Hey Cobra, Thats a nice looking fleet you have there!!! Like Nate says, its kinda strange to see a pipe on a 500!! I had to re read your post about the 700! I thought at first you said you only got 3 flights out of a gallon of fuel with the 700 but then i see where you flew the 600 as well. I have yet to go through that much in a day, but then I have not flown all day either!! I fly the 600e twice and the 600N a couple times and that's usually about all at one shot! But i can see the time coming when i will do more, that's for sure. My partner says, I'm getting braver!
