Welcome Wolfen!! Congrats on the flights, I hope you can keep it up and also keep us posted on your progress!!

lol did the hatch fall on your head odam??? That would really hurt! That would be so cool to see so if you're going to try it make sure to film it!

Hey sonny did it come with instructions?? Try looking for the manual to know what the beeps mean when you're setting it up! Oh yeah try to take a pic of your fuse when you get it!

Hey OH-6, nope no instructions. but another great fellow here on run ryder helped me find out the problem. It turned out to be a servo, and the servo seemed to work fine, so go figure! I found that it was an align esc. It was fastened down and I really didn't want to cut it loose but did and found out what kind it was. I went to the hs and got a new servo and will put it in, either tonight or tomorrow.

what was wrong with the servo? Jeep was having the same problem so it might be a good idea for you to describe what was going on!

Yeah, I posted the problem a few days ago, I hadn't heard from jeep in awhile, have you?

The servo must have been drawing too much power or something. I had to replace it.

I almost went out to film the hatch falling on my head, but then re-read my last post, and realised you mean film the flip indoors... whew! that hatch is pretty heavy....

Hay all hows it going sounds like some of you are having some fun flying but odam 15 degrees lol dang. to cold for me i cant hardly stand 30 degrees but it has been nice here sunny but windy. got to fly my mx400 some sunday going to fly the 600n this weekend i hope. need to get it going so i can get rid of the mx 400 and 450 and just fly my nitros. seems that you can buy alot of nitro fuel for the cost of the batteries latly. 60 to 80 dollers for one battery is really making small electrics not real fun when you only get a fue minets of flying out of them so i think i am going all nitry from now on not that i need any more lol. hay oh-6 pm me and we will figure out a price if you want that 500 fuse. its all boxed up and ready to go with the blue prints there are no instructions but it dose have templates on the blueprints for the stabilizers and such.

Odam, I learned from a guy last night that when you try these moves indoors just make sure you are high enough to recover! That is, if something goes wrong.
Sorry to hear about your hatch thing breaking on you. hope it was under warranty! I have an old, well a 99 Chevy van that i bought just for my hobby stuff! Only the two front seats in it! Works great for this stuff, when something goes wrong, just fold down the work bench and pull up a chair and fix it. I'm thinking about a newer one now!

hay sonny i buy 30 percent heli so it is around 30 a gallon but 10 to 12 minuets of flying i think will be worth it. the mx 400 has me flying but i am always afrade to push the flight times so i might get 5 minuets out if it in hover and forward flight slow forward flight lol. so i just dont seem to be learning as much i think.
.
anyway your going to love the 600n it is such a nicely designed heli and easy to get parts for as alot of 600e parts will work on the mechenisms and almost everybody has parts. i have been mail ordering parts from japan off ebay and i am building my third now with all the best parts i can get. did not buy a kit just ordered the parts i wanted and using alot of parts i already baught for spares. dont think i will do that again would have been cheaper to buy the 600esp kit i think. but it is a nice heli. hopefully if the weather holds out i will fly my red 600n this weekend for the first time. that aughto get my blood warm i think.
.
who are you getting the 600n from sunny. a local guy or from the clasifieds on here? there are a lot of people selling some nice stuff i just dont like to buy this kind of stuff with out actually seeing it first. baught a fue helis from craigs list and it turned out fine but to many scammers out there these days.

Hey Cobra,

I am buying it from a local guy, I saw it last night as the guy is a few miles away, actually over an hour. He is reputable. I bought a couple on ebay, 450's that is, and neither of them would fly! Good thing I am retired and have time to figure them out. Thats with a lot of help from guys on RR. I am getting to know my way around a heli, just wish i knew my way around the sky on a heli!! I still don't have a lot of flight time, But sim time, i do have a bunch of. I guess that saves money!! I confronted both sellers from ebay, not wanting to send them back, but to let them know that the heli was not as advertised. Both got defensive.

ya i sold a heli to one of the guys on here on ebay and found out later that he was bashing me for the condition of the heli when i said i have never flown it and dont know what condition it is in. he was mad because it was crashed at some poing but all the parts were replaced. now tell me how many heli pilots fly a heli that has never been crashed who has a heli that has actually been flown that has never been crashed.lol anyway he never got back to me about it i was reading a post on here and found out he was not happy. he should have said something i would have given him a full refund if he sent it back. having over 500 positive feedback on ebay i am not out to scrue somebody.

Yeah, i guess when they tell you its never been crashed, either they never flew it or they are lying, well unless they only flew it a couple times and have already crashed enough to pay their dues! But when they say bind and fly and it wont work! Sheeet! you know you been had!

-22C this morning!
It's cold again this morning, but not cold enough to stop me! he he
I sure am glad I built that cold weather transmitter box. On the way to the field, I put the radio in, and I lean it up against the vent in the car and blow hot air into it so by the time I'm ready to fly, it's all toasty warm inside It definately is worth the $13 it cost me to make it.

Yesterday morning I broke one of the tail blades on some ice. It was so cold, the plastic was like glass... a piece just broke right off. This morning I replaced the blades, then figured I'd replace the shaft too just in case... dont want any vibrations... so then decided to replace the whole tail case, bearings, slider, etc... I ended up replacing the entire tail section...

So I got to the field (park) this morning, got everything ready to go, went to take off and the heli just spun around... when stopped, the ridder was working correctly, but under power, it just couldn't hold the heli... back home (I didnt bring any tools with me) and puleld the tail case apart, and found I didn't have the belt on the pully properly, it was not on the teeth, just looped over the shaft, so under power, it was slipping.

Fixed that, packed up my tools and brought them with me this time, and back to the park with enough time left for one quick flight. Did a bunch of flips and loops, and some fast circuits, came in and landed nose-in. It was an excellent flight, buty almost all out of frame of my video camera I need to rig up a hat-cam I think...

Anyhow, at work now, hope to get out at lunch time again... I can't belive it, this is the second day now with no winds... hope it stays this way, I don't care about the cold, as long as there's no wind.
