Oh-6, I sure will. Something electric is messing with the receiver thats for sure. I don't think this heli has ever flown. the swash only movied up and down about a half inch! Not enough throw from the servo's. So i am starting from scratch with them.
Are you done with school for the day or do you have afternoon classes?

OH 6,
Yeah i saw where they messed up your schedule. Can you change some classes around? So you would have more time to fly?

I wish but it's a Biology class and there's only one class for it Not too many people pass bio 1 and so not too many people sing up for bio 2 which is the one I'm taking... Anyways they only give the class if so many people sign up for it and I was lucky to be able to take this class right after the one before!!

I'm going somewhere warm tonight... The group I fly with on the weekends have rented a Gym! Yippee! Its only two hours, but tuesday nights till June... all for $45 for the season...

I'm taking my mCX, Blade CP Pro, Blade 400, and BeltCP, that should keep me busy for two hours eh? Lets see, I have 5 batteries for the mCX, 4 for the CP Pro, 6 for the 400, and 3 for the BeltCP, so 18 batteries times say average 6 minutes per, thats 148 minutes... leaves me 12 minutes to change batteries. Thats about perfect! he he

Wish me luck!

Hay oh-6 well larry jolly was one of those guys that made r/c stuff for movie sets like the movie cliff hanger years ago and so many others. the helicopter that is in it is radio controoled and he made fuselages and sold them as well. no longer sells to the public or in buisness. the landing leg support braces wood is broke in the back and has come unglued inside the body thats why it is sitting like that no big deal could easibly be repaires. the tail fins need to be made and the plans have the mesurments for the size thay need to be. ya this is a project the primer is falling off and will need to be removed and properly prepped and then repainted as the person who primed it never scuffed the surfaces but all in all it would be a neat project dosent weigh much at all probly would still be arobatic in a 600or there is lots of room for accessories inside it.

Had a great time last night! Thats the first time I've ever flown indoors with enough room to actually move. I've hovered in the office, but its a constant worry about hitting something even hovering in one place. We only had a single court gym, but it was awesome, especially for practicing nose-in. Most of these guys haven't seen me fly since simmer, or maybe fall, and were quite impressed with how I have progressed, I'd say I'm quickly catching up on the guys who have been flying for years, but they only fly occasionally, and never risk crashing.

I live in a chinese neighborhood, love chinese food, but don't speak or understand any chinese at all. This groups is the Toronto Chinese R/C Club, and I think I'm the only non-chinese member. We agreed that all I want iss to fly indoors on tuesday, so I paid my membership fee, and won't be going to meetings or anything, just the indoor fly nights I know about 10 of the guys since they are the ones who I fly with on weekend mornings at the local park.

I finally got to see the ParkZone Vapor in person. I'm getting one! he he Those things are perfect for flying indoors. The fact that I can use my DX7 and even the batteries from my mCX heli makes it all the more attractive. There were two of them there, and they say they fly for about 20 minutes on one battery.

They were set up so planes fly for 15 minutes, then helis for 15 minutes, so while the planes were flying, I would replace the batteries in the beltcp and blade 400 so when it was time to fly again, I just had to plug in the battery and go. Worked out perfectly.. I'll post a video later on...

I took my CP Pro, but only did a quick flight, and suddenly realized how hard it is to fly! I can't believe I learned to fly on that, heck, I can't even fly it now, the tail doesn;t hold at all, so I just put it away. I flew the little mCX once while the planes were flying.

Can't wait till next tuesday now So, from the warmth of an indoor gym last night, it will be quite a shock this morning... Its
-24c (-11f) with just a slight breeze. If that temp holds for another hour, it will be my new cold weather record, so far the coldest was -20c.

It sure was crispy out there this morning...

First off, here's a video from last night at the indoor flying:

Watch at YouTube

Here is one from this morning in the biting cold... The poor Voyager just didn't have enough power even with three batteries in parallel. It seems to be getting weaker all the time, perhaps it's time for a new motor? Anyhow, was thinking of ordering a 4 cell pack for it to see how that goes. The Blade 400 did just fine though

Hey Odam,

Thats a nice gym to fly in!! The one a buddy here has access to is only a half gym at best, its in an elementary school. Only one person at a time can fly there. I checked out that 600n last night and am going to buy it. Its nice! The guy is very knowledgeable and experienced and will help me with set up and stuff.
Brrr, it is cold out and from what i gather, tomorrow is gunna be even colder yet! I wonder if the cold affects the voyager more than your blade? Might have more oil on the shafts and bearings that gets froze up.

This was a 1 court gym, at an elementary school. I thought iut was gonna be a double court gym, but this one seemed ok, it sure beats trying to fly in the office he he

You will love the nitro, I do... I just wish it was warmer, that nitro sure is cold if you get it on your hands. Unfortunately the club field has been impossible to get into due to the snow

It is cold, but there's been no wind here today so far... I didn't get a chance to fly at lunch time, I ran up to the local hobby shop and picked up a bind'n'fly version of the ParkZone Vapor. There were two guys flying them last night, and I just had to have one... I got it, went to the park, and the elevator servo was not working Took it back, and the next one we pulled off the shelf didnt work, the servos make a noise when you plug in the battery, but the bind light never started flashing The next one worked fine... Good thing, it was the last one they had. I spent so much time doing all that, I haven't had a chance to fly it yet

There is another club that flies sundays for 4 hours indoors, its about an hours drive, but my mom lives close by there, so I'll probably join and kill two birds with one stone, I'm sure mom will appreciate more visits...

Anyhow, back to work... hope y'all get a chance to fly!

Does hovering 2 inches off the ground, with training gear on count? As a flight with-out a crash?

Wolfen, it sure does... if you leave the ground, and return without any damage, and upright, thats a good flight

OH-6, the car starts ok (lots of people do have problems though) but when I opened the rear hatch, its a Hyundai Tucson, the seal for the hydraulic arm popped, and it the fluid all leaked out. That was definately from the cold... (the arm that holds the hatch open)

I dunno about being a better pilot, but definately more adventurous I definately could do a flip in there, not sure if anyone would want me to try though... he he Maybe one night if there are only a couple people who show up, I'd give it a shot, there is enough height, I'd just be afraid of losing it and hitting someone.
