I just got some 10S 30C packs in stock if anybody wants some. Please PM me if you are interested. I have some 3500's, some 4000's, and some 4500's...

Also have a bunch of 25C and 30C 3S and 6S packs if anyone wants to try some of those out too.

Too much head speed compared to my other packs. I put mine up for sale! If they don't sell I'll put them in the fridge at a storage charge and probably buy more in the spring - I like them well - but I don't like the huge increase compared to what I'm running most of the time.

Ehhh, why not drop throttle curve and use two idle up if headspeed scare you and utilize the longer flighttimes you will get.

Simply dropping the throttle curve will decrease efficiency and also increase amp draw making everything run a little hotter.Still buyin' and flyin' then crashing and cryin'

In theory with old crappy ESC's yes, but in practice with todays ESC, no.
in reality, if you run DP/Outrage at same RPM as your old pack you will gain about 8-10% runtime since the packs hold voltage so much better.

Ampdraw will be equally much less.

However, if you keep the high HS your runtime will be about same as your old packs with lower HS.

It really dont matter if you run an ESC at 75% or 80% in terms of efficency, it only matter when you reach 100% where PWM switching isnt needed.

Rappy Tappy Kontroniks don't work like this, this becomes an old arguement fast. CC and ALign ESCs yes this is true. The Kontronik is effective down to 65% before this even comes close to being an issue....Once upon a time there were Nitros, flybars and frequency pins...

Yeah, I tried this, and it's definitely an option, but I didn't get a motor/pinion combo that I really liked before I ran out of time to fly.

I will say this - the DP packs turn the head A LOT faster making the two throttle curves tight/hard to get close to the same in gov. mode.

If I were a hard 3D guy I'm sure I'd just sell off all my regular packs and walk around the field a big chub!
