I think for throttle cut you have to do the whole mixing thing...JR kept the throttle cut with the throttle trim.

I am just glad they freaking put a timer with stick movement...but if you where coming from futaba that had the feature you like to this I could see how it would be disappointing.

My grip is they did not include nor offer a plug for the big antenna hole in the 2.4 only version. I went to the hardware store and bought a rubber stopper and shoved and cut the rest off.

I don't see any other way for the timer to be done the way you say either. I acutally rememeber (now) wondering if it could be done too a while ago. When I land a change a few settings I would like the timer to turn off.

I got a 12X last summer and LOVE it. It was my first venture into 2.4GHz and I was a little leary after some of the stories I heard. For the first month I used the flight logger after nearly every flight.....and never had a single lost packet or remote rx drop.

For those that complain about the throttle cut, I set my throttle trim in the throttle curve menu so that my physical throttle trim tab is centered for a good idle. That way I can bump it up a little in cold weather to keep it going until it's up to temps, and my throttle kill, is just pulling the trim down when the stick is at idle. Once the engine stops I slide it back up to the center position detent and it's ready to go again.

For those that don't like the hole in the back for the FM antenna, just find the right size pen, and it makes a great pen holder...cause you never have one at the field when you need to write something down !

Thanks !

There are a lot of pens that are too small or large a diameter. The one I used was a Sanford Uni-ball Micro. ( http://www.staples.ca/ENG/Catalog/c...&affixedcode=WW )

I found that if I shortened the clip and reshaped it a little, it provides enough friction that the pen is secure, but is still easily removeable. Here are a few pics:

In the UK the sets come with a bung pre-installed.
You may be able to get one from our importer Macgegor industries.

Yes, DX7 feels faster than the 12X. On 12X I have 20% expo on Idle2 to fasten the ciclic. On the same model with the SE I had to remove it.

Yes, I use expo to fasten the cyclic response at centre stick in Idle2. No expo on Idle1 and expo to soften the response on Normal.

That´s just the way I like it.
