CRAZYKEV,

I know you said you are going with a different blade grip. But, could you post some photos of the existing head?

The 5s Evo25 3700 looks like a tight fit. Was that your first choice? Why?

You sound disappointed. Are you really?

The L10 Deluxe was selling for $220. It seems the L400 is the same thing. Where is everybody that was saying the L400 will be a completely new heli?

I'm only disappointed that the head uses plastic bushings. Other than that, I am happy with it.

I went with a 5S setup for longer flight times. I don't fly 3D so I didn't see the need for a 6S setup.

I'll post up pics of the current head here soon.

So what do you guys think would be a good headspeed to run?

I built it with a 19t pinion which will give me a peak of 2500.

I used to run about 2100 with my Logo10 Extreme and any less, it bogged quite a bit.

I bet it will be goo to at least 2600 if not higher (around 2800 for hard 3D guys). That head is strong......RonTeam MikadoUSA 480XXTreme, 550SX, 600SX, 700XXTreme, 800XXTreme!!

You think it will still be OK even though I am going to run the 3mm bolt hole old blade grips?

I'm also going to try an 18t pinion to see how that does.

Most blades have bushings that can be pushed out easily, the ones that do not I just drill out....Once upon a time there were Nitros, flybars and frequency pins...

No sir, on the ones I drilled out I just coated in some CA was all to strengthen the root hole. I would not however do a larger 620-690 blade though.....Once upon a time there were Nitros, flybars and frequency pins...

Back in the 70's and 80's when I modified wood blades I always put in a brass tube so that the screw can rotate inside the fixed brass tube and not the blade itself.

Tritan, yes and that certainly can be done now as well if you have access to the tubes. Some hobby shops sell brass tubes, and that is a great point to be made for making smaller holes, as well as yes lining a larger one, however in going larger that entails having a slightly precise larger bit however to not make the hole "to big"....Once upon a time there were Nitros, flybars and frequency pins...

Looks like the Logo 400 will have a 8mm main rotorshaft:

Swashplate Driver V-Bar head, 8mm rotorshaft
Item no.: 04168

HUGE differens to the other Logo's

Crazykev, is your a 8 or 10mm?

It's a 10mm shaft. Maybe the v-bar head is different?

I had a small crash with the heli on it's maiden flight. I run 2.4ghz and had a lock out Didn't do much damage being that I was 2ft off the ground. Only slightly bent flybar which I already fixed.

I personally think that there is something wrong with my AR6200. Sometimes the lights are on solid when I hook it up and other times it does a slow blink. Spektrum thinks that there isn't anything wrong with it and that it is picking up voltage drops. I don't see how that is possible being that I am running the way overkill Western Robotics high current BEC.
