I got my Nexus about 4 months ago. I bought it from a guy at the lhs that had bought it at a garage sale for 10 bucks. I gave him 40 bucks for it, it had never been flown and was all new.
This is my first nitro and I say it flys great(nothing else to compare it to), much more stable than my blade 400. After seting it up with a 401b gyro and a cheapo digital tail servo it is great.

I have had the bolts that hold the clutch shoes shear off twice, the last time the shoe fell down into the fan and stripped all the blades off of the fan. Other than that I have flown 2 gallons through her and really enjoying it.

If anyone can help with the problem of the clutch shoe bolts shearing off than please post.

Make bigger holes on the fan using a 1/8 drill bit. Pay attention here, the hole should be a little smaller than 4mm. Then retap to 4mm.
You must also bore out the clutch shoes holes to 4mm (7/32).
Mount the thread portion of the bolt (4mm) on a drill, then by using a (8193) grinding stone
mounted on a moto tool, grind off the bolt`s head so it fits in the clutch shoe.
That will allow you to use 4mm bolts on the cluch shoes. Much stronger than 3mm, and ofcourse, they won`t brake away.

That's interesting. It's a lot of work but I never thought about doing that.

Need shaft diameter measurement
I have a KYOSHO Nexus caliber 30 one way bearing assembly.

I dont have the bearing shaft yet. Can someone tell me what the bearing shaft diameter mikes out as?

I plan to machine a special shaft to fit the bearing bore exactly.

Is the shaft diameter .300, ,305, .309?? Any help with an accurate micrometer reading will be most appreciated.

Nexus
I have about 10 of these helicopters and I buy spares when I can find them I have only crashed it once and it was my fault. Great little helicopter and has been the workhorse of my fleet you should be able to see it on my gallery. This helicopter has been through hurricanes and long storage I pull it off the shelf, put a new battery in it and it flies just as it did when I last flew it. it is a low parts helicopter and once set up right it never changes. I also have alot of zeal upgrades for it.

Enjoy the day for we know not what tomorrow holds
