Youre Too Into This Hobby When.....
-----------------------------------------------

You bought 60+ helis with-in 15 months, sold a few to get parts for your favorite birds, gave a few to co-workers and friends and neighbors to gain flying buddies and still have 40+ left. Thanks to my neighbor Demetrius for fishing out my 450 se V2 today that I lost in the wind last week... (it dumpped in the lake behind his house) now I am taking it apart to salvage what I can. while doing this post, downloading movies and practicing on the G4.5...

Pics of the V2... what can I salvage? any suggestion and procedures?

LOL...

^^^^ i would say put all the head parts into a tub of baking soda and viniger to take all the sludge off. the screws are gone, and chances are the electronics are too. but wash them out with filtered water , let them dry, and try them.

It does look like it did for a month but it was just a week. and it was in a man made lake with fountain....

I tried to see what all is good and so far, the ESC booted but fried when I throttled up! whole house has that smell of burnt electronics. the RX actually works so far I tested 1 65mg and seems to function but I don't think I will trust it to be used again... the gyro did started to twitch the servo I connected to it but it's gone! and the TP lipo I had that was connected to it is gone... I will try the baking soda and vinegar mix tonight, it took me a while to clean that crap off the tail with damp towel. LOL...

Anyone selling a quark 33A esc like the one in the pic?

LMK....

your too into this hobby when your neighbor got addicted from watching you learning to fly fished your heli out the lake so you can savalge it...

he has since been my flying buddy

I love this hobby!

I bought just about all of them here off RR all excellent sellers! with the exception of 3 bad experiences.

only heli I bought new is a 600CF, which is half built since I got 2 other ones and 1 is RTF the other just airframe for back up... but the RTF one I got came with enought parts to build another 1.5 600CF.

I will line them up for a fleet shot when the rain goes away!

I love this hobby!

I remember reading something about soaking all the parts over night in a crock-pot with antifreeze to clean them up????? I would strip all electronics cut off the wires and keep the connectors and put new electronics and bearings on it! or just use it for parts if you have another.

Can't figure out Fix the car or fly because it was nice calm day.. I decided to fly and put the car off. I crashed the heli and didn't have spare part so now I can finally turn my attention to fixing the car.
