Waiting for the real antenna to arrive.
In the mean time here is the delta using a 1/4 wave antenna.
This is only a delta measurement for these pictures, antenna is not calibrated and was done in between other tasks.

Equipment is 14MZ with the 2.4GHz module, Agilent E4407B-STD ESA-E Standard Analyzer, Brand new/calibrated , 9 kHz to 26.5 GHz
and tuned 1/4 wave antenna @ center freq, at ~1meter, both in a vertical polarization.

Pictures are as follows
1: Full power.
2: Reduced power.
3: Both on same screen.

When calibrated antenna arrives, more checks are to be done.

And what does this mean to us common folk? Put it in model, range check and FLY. This almost sounds like the old 2IM, 3IM stories of the 'old days' 72 mghz era. It has been tested and proven to work.

Kevin;

It gives a rule of thumb. Full power range roughly equals 14 x range check range.

I get more than 200 yards in range check mode (not pointing the antenna at the heli) x 14 = 8,400 ft. air range. I can't see that far.

There are a few people who emailed/PM'ed me for this data, so I posted for others interested in, to see also. I have test equipment at my disposal that some people do not have.

The questions asked,
Does the TX output change in range test mode?
(one non believer, I think)
What is the delta/change in the TX output?

My 14MZ-2.4GHZ has been rock solid for me.
