Looks like it went perfect, congratulations!!

Also looks ready for the next launch. May I give some suggestions
(1) Some fireworks right before take-off to simulate the ignition of the engines
(2) Modification of thrust so that it takes off slow and then accelerates, just like the real thing
(3) Rockets also in second and maybe 3rd stage
(4) lunar lander (with fireworks?) landing on the "lunar-looking" target

If they used solid rocket motors, they may not be throttleable - at least I don't think they are...

Thanks Guys for all the good thoughts. It was AWSOME!!!!It was all due to a great TEAM effort from all involved. I still get goosbumps on my arms every time i replay the launch in my mind! Many thanks to the MDRA club from which most of the launch team came from. It could not have been a more INCREDABLE experience. Please keep an eye on the main web site for updated info daily. The discovery channel and popular mechanics was there so you will see more in the future!!!!

Hi All :} Helidevil the launch is at the MDRA field in Maryland. The rocket is getting final details on the exterior in prepration for paint. It will have deploy-able fins to stabilize the second stage. Here are a few photos of the fin section for the second stage. I will get some more soon.

This is the bottom of the second stage where the fins will deploy

This is a shot of the fin starting to deploy

For any that are coming to the Loc percision open house next week you are also invited to come to Steve's house after to see the 1B. He is only about 20 minutes south of Barberton .
