Jeeez man what did you do to the poor little Lama?

Get those extreme blades and crashes become a lot cheaper.

I just got back from flying,
someone stopped me and asked what frequency I was on,
and I wasted my last bit of light talking about my bird.

So I still didn't finish the Outrage,
but I was at about 8 minutes and still going strong.

The Esky pack gets me about 9 minutes (timed it today)
doing FFF almost the whole time.

I'm betting the outrage will be close to 12-15.

I am getting tired of the visibility thing so I threw another light on her.

Now if I can only make a set of Ghetto night blades.

Got in 3 good flights (one and a half packs) at the soccer park today. I like this spot. The trees dampen the wind just a bit and there's 6 different fields to choose from if there are people around. There's always the softball park ½-mile away, but it's on a hill and ALWAYS windy, but usually deserted.

This is Flight 2, the second half of Pack 1. This flight was just a little better than the other 2. Click the link - the embedded video is low quality.

I spin the heli up with just fly bars in the house for testing. Gotta balance the blades and find the missing blade nut and bolt and probably get it up in the air tomorrow.

Neighbors are probably wondering the helicopter guy is not out flying for last 2 weeks.

Flew 1 pack. It started raining at the beginning of the second pack. I flew 2 minutes and couldn't take it. Too destracted thinking about the water on the electronics. Landed and called it a day.Revolectrix Beta Team

Just got back from a really hot midday flight.

I just did sloppy circles and eights,
it was way too windy for anything else.

I am super impressed by the outrage pack at this point.

I went 15 minutes with it today,
and still no low battery alarm.

The only reason I quit at this point is because my kid was getting bored.

Charging back up and I will go out again when the wife gets home,
and hopefully with my new light,
sundown won't be such a big deal.

15 minutes is pretty darn amazing. I'm only getting 8 minutes out of an Outrage 2200. I was able to get 10 minutes with the Esky 3800 and stock blades. But with teh Align blades, Extreme motor and idle-up with 90% at midstick, it sucks down the juice. However it flies, great which is more important to me than run time, since my attention span is only 7 minutes.Revolectrix Beta Team

That is just FFF and circles and such.

Part of it is my mod,
which allows for FFF at really low head speeds.

I will post the info about it as soon as I get patent pending status,
I have the paperwork drawn up,
now I am just waiting on the cash.

Mike's right. Its the largest of the 3 Esky motors. 20amps 3800kv. Originally intended for the Belp CP it fits on the HBK2 with some frame modification. I ran my 3800 for about 300 flights before a bearing started to squeal. I then switched over to the Xtreme 400x motor. Also 20 amps, and 4000kv. Its much stronger than the 3800 and pulls much more current. I'm currently running it with a 10t.

I'm not doing any mad 3d or even happy 3d. I'd drop down to 9t if I had one in stock. But I have enough packs and down time between flights that I'm never waiting on the charger these days. So the 10t and shorter flight times isn't really a problem.

I plan on posting details about my invention as soon as I mail the patent application.

Technically I am supposed to wait until I receive a confirmation number,
but it's like Christmas,
I can't wait to show you guys.

Tomorrow I am going to the park with my wife running the camera,
and I'll get some good footage I can show you at disclosure time.
I think I might even try to pull a loop.

Supposed to have my cash Thursday.

All setup right again flew again. I used to run 11T, reduced to 10T this time, just test and tune today, so far working out good. 10T is a lot smoother then 11T, batteries don't get hot, motor is cooler.

10T is probably good for my skill level anyways

Good move.

Your batteries will last for more cycles for sure.

I flew
I just got back in from a quick flight in my front yard. I have had the best luck with the Honey Bee King II. I have had a Century HB 3D, an Align TRex (very early model), an Ikurus Pic Pro, and a no name brand that was really a Century HB. None of them flew reliably. The HB King II flews well, the blades track well, it can go inverted, the tail drive system works, and vibration is minimal. I crashed it once and it was easy to repair. Plus, the heli was cheaper than the other ones! So I actually bought another barebones as a spare.
I took it inverted the other day and it flew well. It did seem a little more skittish upside down but I brought it down to about 4 feet which is quite scary for me.
So I would recommend this heli to anyone, just make sure you get it with a brushless system and put your own electronics in it. Don't buy the one that comes with the radio and everything.

thank you Gary You need to talk to Someone here that constantly tells us the HBK2 is a POS. I cant fly inverted much more of a scale flyer but it flies very nice as you know for its size and price. Thats why I chose to make it into a scale heli. Actually Im working on the second fuse for it.No Really I am the club President!!!

I put 4 packs through my Super FP today. My bearings for my HBK2 should be here tomorrow. Hopefully, I'll have the King up and running this weekend.
