You want smoke? Check out these guys. They shoe-horned a turbine into an N9 and missed the nitro smoke so much they added a smoke machine.

LOL,
SO, did the DC3 land?

I have spek and I can laugh at it. Mostly cause I've experianced it.
I was a futaba guy before. If they'd made $50 RXs when I decided on a ratio, I'd still have been one.

There is definitely good stuff in a Futaba RX. I found this out when looking at the Hobbyking Knockoff receivers.

If you didnt know there are clone RX for both Futaba and Spek. I have personally seen guy's flying these since last year with no problems.

Spek only $7 frakin dollars!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Of course Futaba is still more expensive cause of the good parts $30.

I've had and seen problems with both the clone types (fut/spek).

I"ve had and seen problems with the real stuff too (fut/spek).

The guy's in my club have not wrecked on an orange RX and spektrum radio to date I wish them well. But me It hurts the pocketbook but I got 7 of $100 rx's now and piece of mind. I wont put the clones in my stuff even my TREX clone has a $60 parkflyer Futaba fasst in it.

Knock on wood I have enjoyed many years with no problems w/Futaba just lucky maybe? 4 or 5 years in the mid 80's and the last 4 or 5 years up to date.

I wont even bring up the Eflite radio (Horizon) with my BladeCP got 3 months out of it sold it to a sucker.

My 6ch cheapo Futaba still worked flawlessly when I put it away in the cabinet after buying the 10CG (more heli modes for my nitro) unlike the cheapo Spektrum DX5e POS on my BNF micros I spend 10min sometims just getting it to bind then looses signal in high RF environments (my work). Just because its cheap doesnt mean it shouldnt work.

The only risks I have are my flying.

Not so good, the landing required copius amounts of hot glue Ken needs alot more practice with landings, usually he hands me the TX and I land it but this time I said give it a try- practice makes perfect.
