consider yourself lucky. I'm in the DC/Baltimore area. Just outside the DC beltway. We get NOTAM's about once a month. I just park fly at a baseball field during lunch or before work if I wanna fly. We are thinking of getting some RC trucks to run when it's windy or the NOTAM's are in effect. The good news is that NOTAMS have been rare on weekends for us.

We had one a week or so ago on a monday and tuesday and we turned it into a work day (and filmed the Wack a mole roller movie).

Yea, shutting down RC is really stupid. Stupid. Like some freak will care about that if he's trying to do something. Some stupid policy worker or dork came up with this idea.

Flew the 250 yesterday in pretty windy conditions. After the Obama rally of course. Lost the tail spun uncontrollably and the wind took it all I could do was try to slow it down on the hit. Bent tailboom flybar blades really not to bad..

No your not.

I dont know what happened I can only assume I lost the belt I was in idleup 85% and did abut a 15ft collective pump that thing was a rocket!! It come around nosein I said OK no biggie get my bearings back go to turn tail in and it started to slowly piro so I decide ok lets set it down as easy as possible (it was like flying a rate gyro) then all of a sudden just went completely out so shut it down and let it fall unfortunately it ended up on its side. The wind was to much for the little fellow 15mph and kicking the crap out of the gyro and tail combo from the days Democratic hot air blast. I flew my Hangar 9 p-47 and couldn't taxi it down the runway without the tail jumping off the ground.

Flew the Align 500 today. One flight to video the squeeking it was doing. Then I noticed the reflective tape on the blades were comming off so I pulled it off and flew a pack just doing circuits. I did not hear the sound. I'm still not happy with the Align GP750 gyro that is jittery. Gonna pull it and put something else on it for a while.
