Nice flight helibob. I love the canopy.
I also like the music (you gotta scratch in your Vinyl wolfman)

I flew the HBK2 with the GY240 converted to GY401.
I never got tail holding like this w/ the old cheap Colco gyro I had.
Now I can actually do more stuff with this helicopter. But I am not sure I want to fly to aggressive with it. I have no spare parts like my 450's.

I seem to remember a King2 flies pretty well with a gy240 and they are not very temperature sensitive if at all.

Melnic, that King video was Fantastic !!! You made it fly more like a 500 than a micro. When I heard the sirens in the background I thought they were coming to arrest you for flying an "Esky" product in public

I have a cheap Mystery Motor/ESC combo from ebay that was $22
It's a 3000Kv motor and I think a 13 or 14T pinion.
Headspeed I guess is around 2600-2800. Yea, It needs to be higher.
I kept debating to put a spare alpha 400 (3550kv) into it but I've got 60+ flights and have not touched anything other than stealing and replacing gyro/tail servo out of it.

I don't think there was any wind when I flew so that really helps it look stable.

Thanks. I was not worried about stability and yours should be stable, because I guess you run Xtreme plastic blades. I like sound of yours - it is quiet in comparison with mine. I run 2800 governored.

I have Exceed G2 fiberglass blades which are re-branded Walkera 36 blades. I like how they are yellow and fit into Trex450 head grips.
288mm. Perfect for a clone head convertion on the HBK2.

Tryan, I wonder, why do you like to fly so huge helis?

Got a new motor instead of broken one for 4G6, balanced it, put 18T pinion instead of old 20T, changed all bearings, balanced blades on super precise scales and balanced using my new Xtreme balancer.

Tuned head, using my new tiny pitch gauge, discovered that it (head) was a bit off.

Now it flies very nice. Practically no vibes, despite I balanced motor not that much good.

Still no flips in a room, being afraid to crash. Maybe later when I get more confidence and flip it in a bigger room or somewhere.

About 10 flights today. Maybe more.

you so funny!!

Size does matter

My R30 is down getting ready for the upgrade to a R50.

So to keep flying I need a small heli to fly indoors especially since we haven't seen the sun in almost 2 weeks rain snow and 25mph winds.

So yes I would much rather be flying the Raptor but this spring I will have a whole new heli well sort of.

No Tryan, you did not get me. In my opinion, your heli, which you call 'small' is just huge. It is twice as big as what I fly now.

Sat. and Sun. here in Mass was perfect. No wind at all for a change, upper 30's lower 40's. Dannny-boy introduced us to a new guy "John" an older gent (about 60) who got bit by the "Heli-bug" a few years back. He has a TREX 450 se V1, TREX 500, and a Raptor 50 nitro. He let me fly them all--- the Raptor was VERY stable , the 500 was very stable, the 450 was set-up nice and flew very well. When John flew the heli's--- even though they were very different--- when John was on the sticks they flew exactly the same as each other.
He is into forward flight, nose-in and wants to try inverted but doesn't want to crash so fear is definately a factor but he has goals to look forward to.
Kenny only flew is TREX 450 pro and is getting proficiant at forward flight , figure 8's and did 3 small loops(not in idleup) but pulled it off with out a crash.
After flying all these heli's, I can honestly say I still had the most FUN flying my Lil POS King Actually did some tic tocs with it.

I read to quick I see what you mean I cant imagine ever going smaller than the 250. My hats off to you.

Maybe its just me I am the same way with planes if it aint big and noisy. It just seems like I am playing with a toy and I loose interest.

Maybe it has to do with me liking scale ships more.

Either my belt came loose or a screw came off a tail grip linkage. Still not sure. Good news is that I was already planning an order to Xheli for some stuff so I'll just add this stuff to the order. I already checked the head and everything was ok, probably just about $15 in damage. Blades are scraped and still in balance.

T-02: I cant imagine ever going smaller than the 250
This thing probably makes a 250 look like a .30.

Lot of fun, especially tweaked for twitchiness and floor vents blasting.

-40 expo cyclic, -65 expo rudder; high rates.

This is all I've been flying for over a month, since the weather started to suuuuuuuuck!!! Feels like living in upstate NY again...

...almost.

2old, you maybe should cut your losses with the 4#3's and try one of these.

Good flying ShiZack, Kenny has been flying his mSR indoors every chance he gets and that lil thing has helped him transition to perfect circles and nose-in with his 450 better than the SIM has. The mSR is a little pricey IMO for what you get but you can't put a price on Fun What up with your 450, will it be in the air soon ? you were gettin very confident with it !

Nice flynnn... My wife was asking about when I was gonna spend the rest of my Annaversary present $. HMMMM I keep saying I'd like an MSR.

So I guess you are using your Spektrum radio. Did you get the BNF version or the other one and then switch to your Tx?

Flying:
I flew the Flasher 450 for a test flight this morning. I also emailed the guy who wants to buy it and am arranging a test flight.
