Yes, I did fly my Trex 450SE today. It finally broke the 50 degree mark. The last few winters were much warmer than this one. Glad I have two indoor helis (Axe CX and mCX) as well to get me by.

nerlinger...I hear you man,i'm not too far from you and this winter has been COLD and WINDY so far.Much more than the last few years.

and yes it was beautiful today(for Jan anyway)and I got a few packs in and it was awesome, didn't do anything new yet as i just wanted to get warmed up and back into a groove before i try new stuff.but worked on FF,back and front flips low and controled(less than 15ft high)and inverted hovers.great day and it was very cool to get back out flying.hopefully tomorrow will be nice as I have the whole day to myself and i'd like to get a lot of flying in.

If I can find a cameraman I'd like to break in the new vid cam I got for christmas,i'll post if i can

The more I see of those MSR I think I am glad I got the HK250GT instead. Seems like they are alot like the MCX great for a few dozen flights then sit on a shelf somewhere.

I considered that one and even the Novus heli's. Walkera stuff looks good nowadays but they still scare me from the Venom stuff with all their bad electronics.

Novus: they did not yet clone 4G6. Only 4G3 - tail motor. 4G6 - variable pitch tail and HH gyro.

like i said earlier i worked on inverted hover but I also flown circuts with my trex and fff and low passes! I also tried my hand at editing videos! My dad was filming but are stupid camera still goes in and out of focus. so sorry about the video. But i need to put something up. I know its none of my inverted but its nice sometimes to take it easy with the inverted and just do nice up right flight.
Heres the video.

yes I agree the walkera is more advanced and looks better. I was just looking at the parts availability tower hobbies is 4 hrs away from me.

I got a gym or two and an indoor RC car track I can use so the 250 was an even better deal for me. And its surprisingly stable for a small bird. much better than the EP100 was.

I am still toying around with it in normal mode I can imagine it will be pretty hot in idleup.

Spencer, Nice flight and really nice flying area
Camera does not have a manual focus mode?
I'm still trying to scope out an HD hard drive camcorder with a manual focus and $500 or less. Waiting for tax $$

I did some test flights using the eagle tree looking at motor current consumption during the flight. Then on what was my last pack, my brand new GY520 lost it's reverse setting. It kept spinning on me on take off. Tightened the belt and still kept spinning. Then I did my bench test (which I did earlier so did not think I had to do it), well, the gyro was in the wrong reverse setting. I never touched the gyro program button! So I programmed it using the button then flew again. Really wierd! I'll have to do a gyro test each flight till I get confidense in it again...
