one is also good.

...
12 packs and no damages or crashes or issues! 4 batteries, flew in the morning, charge them flew 4 again afternoon and evening.

Parallel charging is time saver. I just charge all 4 x 2200 battery at 5amps, just let it charge and while I do other thing around the house.

I had a blast too!

Flew 4 tanks through the 600N at the field, and flew the usual 8 batteries through the TREX250.

I have "flying hangover". You know, stained brain feeling, like a I drove for 16 hours all day.

Anyone else have this??

FLEW and WORKED

Worked on the helis first.
First, I put the cheap G401B into the e550. It is not known for being free of vibrations but at least I know the Logitech 2100 flies good on it. No going. Even with Zeal gel tape, the cheap G401B was twitchy. I've had good luck with SOME cheap gyros but not this one.

Then I flew the e550 and man, it was funky. Landed after the pack and then realized I had accidently set the swash to 3 servo 120. Raptor is 3 servo 90. I remember changing it because I said, why is it like that .
Then I flew the EXI 450. I was setting it up w/ the other cheap gyro (the Colco GY400 which my first one is in my HBK2 and doing great). It was fine but for some reason, my pitch curves were off and I could not get good tracking. So, took the heli to my work bench. You know how the mechanics of the head needs to be centered at zero pitch and such? Well, mine was all off, both blades the top link and the long link were off from one side to the other. So I started from scratch. Adjusted the linkages so the head mechanics were straight at 0 pitch, Leveled my swash subtrims and end points, then adjusted my curves. Took it off and did not have to touch the tracking and maybe needed one click of trim. I think when I head swapped this unit, I did not set it up and put it away w/o thinking. Once again, I learned that setup is king.

Took the birds to the field at the end of the day after a picnic but my field has the sun at our 10 oclock so visually seeing the canopy SUCKS at the end of the day. Did about 5 flights including the EP100 and had my last flight after sunset. A guy had this tiny electric w/ 2 lights on it flying after dusk. That was kinda neet. I also met a heli pilot I had not met before. He had 2 Eflites and also has a new Trex 450 pro and a Trex 500.

what kind of blades you have on the beam that's one thing the other is the head speed on woody not good.there's 4 damper rings that the head has did you check it.and for finally the spindle it must be bent or lose blade grips.

I'm flying the Thunderpowers and there fine, spindle is also fine and I just replaced the o-rings in the head[which suck]I think I'm going to try the V1 truebloods but back to tracking.I also think the full turn on the links suck, some times a half turn is all that is needed

Flew some hovering indoors yesterday after work messing w/ the chinese weight mode on my EXI 450. Tried a screw w/ nuts, then switched to washers. First used a 16mm screw, then 20mm. 20mm w/ washers was too much. On a bench test with the link disconnected from the tail servo ball, it would throw the rod to the ends. That's when I knew the weight was too much. I settled at 16mm screw w/ 6 steel washers on each end. THat gave me enough thread to make sure the nylon lock nuts were gripping. I measured with a force gauged the linear force to pull the linkage to the end points and before it was about 32oz. After the mod it was 12oz. Since w/o the mod, the further you go out to the edges on the tail slider, the more force it takes, the mod pretty much only speeds up your servo when you have to get to the outer 25% of the slider range. I don't think it makes much of a difference at hover. I did not notice any significant difference in my gain settings HOWEVER, my ball is pretty far in and I had to increase the servo motion range of my tail servo using the hyperion programming program (usb communicates to servo). I did crank up the gain and flew some higher speed backwards flight, probably about 80% collective and it held much better than before. Before the mod, if I got going backwards too fast, the tail blew out on me enough that I had to really work it or I would loose it.
So, I got ballsey and tried a roll while in backwards flight. First one was perfect, then I tried it the other direction, OOPS, not enough speed and it dropped altitude too quickly and then I almost lost it. I started the manuever about 25' up and finished about 5' off the grass. I GOTTA do this higher up when I'm trying something new.
Inspired by the King 2 Lives on thread videos, I worked on some flips to inverted and back again. I have not flown sustained inverted since the fall so I worked on hovering for about 30 seconds at a time, flipping back then to inverted again. I gotta work on this more.
I've never been a fast piroetting kinda guy so I worked on 540 stall turns and standing pirrowettes 360 degrees at a time.
I ended the flights with backwards figure 8's to continue my quest on mastering backwards flight.

The EXI is flying really smooth right now. The most expensive piece of Electronics I have on it is the $30 tail servo. Other than I have to center the tail before each flight, the Colco GY400 $20 gyro is really working well for it's price. It's almost time I fear to give it a dirt nap.

on the tracking problem are you turnnig the link on the holder or the long link to be more presise on the tracking the small link 1 turn and the long link is like a haft of a turn of the small link to fine tune the traking use the long rod links.
I hope that helps you.

It counteracts the effect that the stock tail wants to return to center. All helicopters that don't have built in counter weight have this force counteracting the tail servo. It's one of the main reasons people put big servos on the tail even though when the tail is not moving, you don't need much force to move the linkage. When it's spinning you need more force to move it to the extremes.
