HR,
I have had my kids do that with a fixed wing plane. It teaches them to experiment with making a movement, looking at the reaction of the plane, then using that reaction to know what direction the plane is going.

Today I flew the Heliartist 500D fuse. Flew pretty decent in the wind. I'm trying out 2 batteries in parallel w/ it. 2 batteries that are not the same size. So far so good. I checked it at home w/ a current probe and the larger battery w/ the lower internal resistance drains more than the other and at the end of the flight, there is a 1A flow from the smaller battery to the bigger one until I unplug it (which does take me that long).

Yeah we did. Mike and I got in 3 pack each at lunch. The weather was pretty nice except for the super bright sun and of course the wind at the end. Here is a short video I snuck in when Mike wasn't looking

Today was my unpaid holiday. GREAT weather for once.
got in a few flights early this morning, then my wife met me there and we flew planks. She got 3 flights in on the buddy box. I flew my 75cc gas plank.
snaproll to knifedge on takeoff :

Rolling circle.
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=idywCDqkYf0

Then 8 minutes into the 3rd flight my throttle was stuck at 1/4 throttle. Enough that I could fly forward but too much to try to land and ditch in the weeds. I flew in a circle downwind at one end of the runway till someone gave me a good idea. Fly inverted and pull up and down once and a while to try to kill the engine. About 2 minutes of that sure enough it died, but when I was moving more downwind. I was lucky I had about 15mph of head wind. The plane has excellent stall charactoristics so I ended up in clumpy grass and just aluminum landing gear to bend back. Turns out the linkage to the carb throttle arm had a nut that did not have a washer or nylon lock nut.

Then we played 9 holes of golf near by. Great day off. I need to retire

GREAT day here as well, flew 12 packs on the 450
Nothing new or adventurous just having fun and working on the things I am uncomfortable with.
It's great to have blue skies, I have problems with orientation high and away with gray skies so it was fun to do big high loops etc with the good visibility.

I took a 1/2 day and flew the 600N.

It's the first flight since I changed the mixing arms from 3D to stable.

Big difference! ironically for me, I can fly more freely, banking and stuff B/C it's feels right now.

I love the smell of nitro burning.

1. How many flights to wear them out?
2. Aren't those "Tryans" servos too?
3. What would you replace them with?
4. Is this enough questions?
