I got rid of mine because I got tired of going in the water every time something went wrong(out of nitro or turned over) unless you keep it close all the time and then the "old tennis ball and fishing pole trick" will do.

1 Gallon! your my hero

I used to fly a plane at an RC float fly in the spring. They had a catamaran that was electric and would go out and push the planes back SLOWLY that were still upright. If not, someone got into a skiff w/ an electric motor and went out there.

Got 1 flight yesterday morning and it started to rain on us. Windy all today and tomorrow. Hope to get the R30 and e550 out tomorrow.

Had another flight today, whole battery. I can feel that I am starting to get used to the controls, and I definitely need a bigger place to fly to be more comfy with FF.

4 packs through the Raptor!
3 through the eskexi

Really starting to get comfortable with the Raptor,
the last pack I really started getting a feel for it.

I feel a loop in the near future.

Tomorrow is going to be a perfect day for flying,
60, with winds around 5 mph.

Not real flying, too windy AGAIN...

Got some Sim time in though. Really loving the new Phoenix.

Which reminds me,
Anyone not have a Sim and would like to give my old Reflex a go?

It is the Reflex XTR 5.0 - no TX, comes with a cable/dongle for a JR TX, I am sure you can get cables for other TX's or if you are creative you could modify the JR cable or make your own, it is the dongle you need, and that has a telephone type connector for cable connection.

No charge to you

1 CD Software (updates free on reflex site)
1 Dongle/Lead

Will NOT install on Vista but can be installed on an XP machine and cut and pasted to a Vista PC.
Has USB issues (why I got rid of it) seems some folk have luck some do not, I was a not. You therefore need to be a little PC literate.

well I put my money where my mouth was tonight(other thread talking about stepping it up a bit now) and did something I have been really working towards for a while now.I did backflips on the 500 in my backyard.there is really not too much room as most have seen my yard, tress on 3 sides.so they had to be pretty damn tight.did about a dozen or so and all went well.man I am really happy about this as i had wanted to be able to do this for some time.

the only thing holding me back with the 500 is batts,I have some comming soon,as i only have enough good batts right now for 3 flights on the 500 as opposed to about 7 for a 450.I like having plenty of batts, if you fly 6 batts in a row by the 4,5 and 6th batt you are really groovin.

next mission, get the MT back in the air and start moving forward with new stuff

OUCh, that looks like it was doing some grinding w/ the dirt!

Flew 2-3 flights each of the :
EP100, EXI, Raptor 30, TT e550, and my original 1989 Midwest Aerostar Trainer. Spent some time fighting to keep the OS 46 engine running in the trainer. I put new bearings in it last year but it never will idle. Gave up and would just take off and fly 1/2 throttle for 15 minutes then dead stick it. I have another engine that I got last summer and now, it's finally going in. Was trying to fight it for sentimental reasons but I give up now, I'll put it in a glass case on the shelf or something.

Wind was gusty calm one minute, 18mph the other. Flew the EP100 first then put it away. Flew the e550 one time when it was about 20mph and the only thing I noticed was HUGE upwind loops. Very stable in the wind. The EXI was OK in forward flight but once you started to hover it, there is only so much stability in 750g of helicopter. LOTS of fixed wing pilots and today was the day of deadsticks and crashes. One guy crashed his sport type .40 Nitro. He stalled and did not know he was deadstick. Every one of my Fixed wing flights, I deadsticked cause I could not idle it and 2 other guys were not even getting off the ground. Most of their problems was cheap engines or bad tuning.
I was suprised at how my trainer handled 15mph winds. I never had any problems, even deadstick landing it.

Cool HR, is that a flycamone2?

BTW HR, I was flying 7m30s each flight today w/ the e550. I'm putting 3500mAh back into my 5000mAh 6S.
I'll be bumping my timer up from 7mins to 8mins now aiming for 8m30s flights and keep measuring the battery.
