Think of all the problems we are having on the 500's. So lets run out and buy the electric 700. O, I will be first in line for that.

Then why not be disappoineted in spektrum (JR), or the manufacturer of whatever RX you may be using? I think its spektum that advertises as being "bullet proof". I had a lockout after 10 plus flights on mine. I have grounded and now have 20 since then and hopefully more. There are lots and lots that have no problems without any mods. That alone shows that it might have easily not shown up in testing. Just the humidity alone will can mask a static problem.

Other than the static issue... the 500 has been a great.

I have the same receiver in all 6 of my heli's. Including the trex 600n and the 450se. They all work fine no lock outs. It is just the 500. That is what we need a fix for.

You guys are funny. Static discharge is in the thousands of volts(and at who knows what freq ranges...its simply an intense burst of energy), no matter the system your probably going to over load the front end or what ever Rx system is mounted espically considering the distance from the source.

2.4 has made it easier for people in this hobby...its also seems that its making people lazy. First off electrical discharge is bad no matter how you look at it...its like replacing all of your bearings with worn ones and wondering where the glitches came from. I look at it like this if it doesnt work on a more sensative 72MHz system then there is something wrong. I only really see 2.4 as a channel management system.

700 torque tube question
Could you take the boom, torque tube and any parts needed and put it on a 600E and swing larger blades ???? Basically making a 700E ??
