Hello fellow heli pilots,

First, i would like to introduce myself, My name is Phil, i am the V.P. of the RCBUSH PILOTS @ Dyer Park. I would like to thank Pat (Gator Up) for bringing this to my attention, about the post started by Tom. I fly both, heli and planes, mostly giant scale do to flying the IMAC circut. so, my heli flying has suffered, a true heli pilot at heart, i have made room for both in my life. As we all know, heli pilots and plane pilots have always butt heads. But maybe one day we can all get along.....

Now on to the real issue.....

Inregards to the matter that Tom is talking about, i now see that there is a BIG misunderstanding as to the other fields intentions, i myself would rather see the guys back at dyer all getting along like it used to be when i first started flying there. is this possible???? i would like to think so and get the heli guys flying there once again. i also agree with what Jeff P. Pat and Ron has posted, there is alot of bitter blood there and i would like to see that change. i would like to extend my deepest apoligees to all of the "former" heli pilots that used to fly there.

As long as the "other" field has permission, and is practicing SAFE flying there really is nothing that we can do. I myself did not know of the the "other" fields standings. so on that note, i would like to apoligize to those that may have been offended by this matter that has been brought up. i hope that this issue will be laid to rest and that we can all move on and put this past us. maybe one Sat. i can get out there and check it all out scince i havnt been there, just drive by there alot.

Now on to some good news........

I have been working on setting a date for a 2 day heli event some time in Nov. date to be set at this months board meeting. maybe this will be the chance to reunite ALL of the heli pilots and put the past behind us. if any of you are interested in joining us at the field for this event and think that it ould be a great doing for all to enjoy, please feel free to help me put on one HELL of a heli fun fly.

In conclusion,
i hope that all can put this matter behind us. Good luck to the "new field" it looks like it will be here to stay. i dont know if i made matters worse or if i made any sence of anything, i just want to see us all get along. NO MORE BITTER BLOOD!!! i would like to turn my head to the future and put on one KICK AZZ heli fun fly event!!!

Regards,
Phil B.

Sorry for the trouble Phil. You are a friend of mine . You have helped me in my intro to helis. I won't forget the time you ran to assist me on a hot start my 2 week into this hobby at Dyer. Back when I was a member of Bush Pilots 1yr 1/2 ago.

That's why I brought this to your attention. It would have your hurt the club more than anyone else.
It would be nice to get together and fly again.
You never know we may show up this weekend.
Give me a shout on the phone.
Talk to you later

Make sure you guys de-conflict with the Mulberry event, also in November.

PS,
Thanks guys, for coming up and making a great showing at my event this past weekend. You all made a dismal, windy day, quite entertaining.

Cheers,
Erich

ErichF,
With the exception of the wind (25mph+) , Jeff and I had a great time. As you seen , wind has never scared us . It makes for a challenge. Nothing like holding on to a kayos in gale force winds . lol Our hurricanes turned to tornadoes . Just about the strongest winds I've wrong it out in. At least the wind kept the helis clean from fuel. That's the true positive...

PM Phil w/ the dates . Maybe you two could arrange it as a back to back weekend.

The thought of 2 weekends in a row flying in Nov. in the warmer Florida weather. May get some pilots from the colder states on down, and fly when it would be to cold . Also a back to back weekend makes the trip worth their travel. About a 2 1/2-3 hr. ride between us

for those that are curious about this, go here http://www.runryder.com/t414406p1/

Phil,

I appreciate the effort you are putting into a funfly, it'll be fun and i'll be there.

About the Jog road field, i don't have any bad feelings about Dyer as i am a member and fly there often, and i have never heard one word from anyone at Jog road with negative statements. It's just there are more heli flyers having FUN at Jog road, I didn't appreciate the threat Tom had in his last post.

He also used bad #'s in his post about area to fly in.

I have been in contact with some of the other flyers there and we hope to rectify the situation, never had any intention of casting aspersions on any club. Tom's BLACK SPOT was bulls--t.

Anyway you know how i feel, feel free to contact me at any time.

Thanks Ron for your support. i dont kow what made him do this, it was simply a matter that was talked about at a meeting with NO intentions on doing anything but make people aware of what was happening there. as this was brought to my attention by Pat, i have been trying to resolve the issue at had, now that i know were the other field stands. they have permission and they practice SAFE flying, nothing we can do!! i will continue to address this matter until its resolve.....

Phil,
Thanks for the good words,

there are a few people always that try to make mountains out of molehills, it seems Tom is one of those guys. He will discover that the AMA will not get involved in a dispute like this.

We will see you this weekend, have a great week, Ron

My name is Carlos Gonzalez, owner of Nitro Toyz Hobby Shop in West Palm Beach

I don't really understand what is driving Mr. TomRex rage.

A year ago two of my best friends were just learning to hover and minor forward flight, and they discover this area in WPB. I started flying with them.

Then I started to invite new pilots (learning how to built and program their radios) to stop by on Saturdays so we can help them.

I think I'm the only person (at least in my state) that not only sales a Heli, but take time to make sure that new customer is involved in the hobby the right way.

I take my time to set and configure almost every Heli that we sale at the store. That is the only way to warranty safety for a new pilot. I test fly every Heli to make sure is in perfect operation. That brings new people to the hobby in a safe and correct way.

Mr. Tom is talking about AMA rules. We have more rules than any other club. Just to begin, we only fly one Heli at the time. If we have a new pilot we connected them to a buddy box while doing training.

We have not yet had an accident involving damage to people or property while flying in the park, NEVER.

We have the blessing from the Water Management CO. I even hosted a Toys For Tots event last Christmas. We had one of the best Heli shows ever done in West Palm Beach, with good replies from four Florida Tops Sponsored Pilots.

I don't think we are hearting any one, our group is very professional, and includes, Palm Beach Sheriff pilots, Florida State Troopers, and West Palm Beach Police Department.

We are all very good people having fun on Saturdays, in a very safe way.

Mr. TomRex has insulted us by calling us morons that live in America.

Mr. Tom needs to know that is the reason why we live in America, Land Of The Free!

Mr. TomRex you had also insulted me by calling me:

The main culprit is a New Guy in town that has a new hobby shop and started the fliers gathering there to raise his revenue.

I can feel how jealous you are about my business, but my business is growing very fast because I care about the people that walk in to my store trying to get information about RC Helicopters, I remember my self waking in to Hobby Shops years ago to ask a simple question, and only to got was attitudes and poor information.

I would like for you ask to go public and apologize for the comments you have said to me and to all the good RC friends that think that your incorrect.

We will continue to bring new pilots and friends to the hobby, and keep working to make our friend club a safe place to learn to fly and have fun.

Thanks to Phil B. VP RCBUSH PILOTS for your words. That is the best way to bring pilots together.

Thanks to all my friends

Specially To HOTWING

Hi Carlos,
well,
TomRex has apologized over on the Freak.

Says he misjudged the caliber of the flyers at our site.

I invited him to come by and fly and told him he would be welcome.

I'm sure we all feel this way, Ron

Carlos, thanks for the kind words, Ron Hotwings Sormrude

Carlos,
I'm glad to see you joined RR and impressed to see you put things in perspective as a shop owner by defending what you are doing for heli community at the end of the day people need to put aside their personal feelings and realize business is business and if what you do brings you more business and expands the hobby also creating a positive environment that's what makes the world go round. I dont know anyone that starts a business and does not advertise . I know Carlos Roman personally and he would not associate with bad company or do what has been stated incorrectly about your site (Air field)
