Was your fan rubbing again the shroud? That would definitely cause that problem.

Fan
The Synergy fan requires very careful alignment and adjustments to prevent it from rubbing the fan shroud. I have spent well over an hour tweaking mine on various occassins.

I would guess that your shroud may have shifte enough that the seam for the fan shroud halves caught a blade on the fan and snapped it off. As the fan continued to spin, the loose fin got jammed and had nowhere to go but through the side of the shroud.

Fan!!!
Wow "T" when you spooled up, you couldn't hear the problem. Had you made changes to the heli since the last time you had it started. Well I hope all is well. If you need my help just reach out.

Floop and I messed you at SocAir yesterday, it was windy but the heli's handled it. Catch you later in the week.

RIP Roman - You don't know how much your missed -

The tolerance between the fan shroud and the fan is quite close (helps improve fan efficiency) and it is worth taking a bit of time to make sure it is not touching - also make sure that the fan shroud halves are seated correctly.
