I am based in Vancouver Canada. My business partners and I have built quite a few versions of camera carrying remote helicopters.
We are in the process of building a few more machines and have decided to sell a heli or two. We have posted a turbine machine on E-bay. A very nice flying heli with an 8 foot rotor-span. Jet-cat powered pht-5 mechanics. Although a little expensive it is ready to go and can lift a substantial payload. Aluminum rotor blades, 110 ounces of fuel, three-axis gimbal and custom carbon fiber body. You can find It on Ebay by entering "Remote control turbine cameraship".

hehe...well...put me in the 'i'll be watching the auction'...but not in the 'i'll be bidding'

i was honestly hoping for a no reserve...like that Joker that sold the other day...i was high bidder for a few minutes and that was fun...$40k just to get to the table though...yikes.

When in doubt...auto out

Welcome

We have not seen you here at RR before, you certainly build great looking machine. You must have put some time into R&D and fabrication, is it from an off the shelf mechanical?

If could make suggestion: try and post some of your specs for all of us to see, some of the guys here could be your next customer. Sorry a little out of my price range.

Do you have web site?

Do you have a SFOC with Transport Canada?

Look fwd to seeing more.

Hard job competing with gravity.

I will never say that the heli is not worth the 40k you are asking for but $500 shipping better include a first class ticket with drinks and a shrimp cocktail.

clarification
The $500.00 shipping cost is just an estimate on shipping the helicopter air cargo. It has quite a large case. It could be sent by ground as it may be less expensive to do so. We would actually prefer a buyer arrange their own shipping. If someone were to spend that kind of money on such a sophisticated machine, a trip to Vancouver to see it fly and a mechanical breifing would really be required. The machine is the result of six months of very careful building and about $20,000.00 in parts. As for who we are and our experience, we have participated in concept of operation programs with Defense Research and Development Canada,DRDC. We have also recently perfomed demo flights for Advanced Systems and Concepts, Foriegn Comparative Technologies US DoD. Not all groups with RPV and UAV/UAS programs subscribe to Runryder. We are using a Copterworks head on this helicopter. Garnick is a very talented fabricator and a great guy to deal with. I have posted a few photos in my gallery for anyone interested.

Sirex, my bad...there was an APer located in Pt Roberts for awhile. I cannot remember his name but what a coincidence.

Agreed, not every 'op' subscribes to RR, I know a few guys who do r/c work with the DOD who are very talented and not 'names', theyre too busy working!
