All i can saw is WOW....I didnt believe it at first...i was looking for a Large Heli and i wanted a TREX 600 or an Electric Raptor 50 but someone turned me on to the Esmart 600 and i didnt think it was a 600 size Heli,,,i took my chance and bought one..Only paid $185 wit Motor...
I rec'v it last week,,put together the Mechanics and it is almost no difference in size than a Raptor 50 or TREX 600.i am totally amazed....It looks great,,i love the Metal Frame...The design is sooo convenience...so much room for Electronics and all the components that make up the Esmart 600 are very well made....I couldnt ask or a more quality Heli such as this.....

My Previous Setup was a Jr. Voyager E and a Hurricane 550 and they dont even come close to this Esmart 600...Looks and performance...i havent Flown it yet....I'm going to take my time on this one and set it up right.....Below are some photos of what i did so far....I should have all my Electronics installed within a week or 2..

Only Mods i did so far was i put Raptor Landing Skids on there and a Bigger Tail Fin...I like the bigger Landing Skids...More sturdy...
I bought a Longer Boom and Belt but havent installed that yet....
Im in the midst of gettn a Raptor 50 Canopy for it as well..That Canopy is larger then the Esmart 600 Canopy..i just want to give it a Larger Look.....So with the Longer Boom, Bigger Skids, and Canopy,,,this should look almost like a 60 Size Heli once i'm done and i believe it will still Fly with excellent performance....i am just hooked on the Larger Helis....Seen them so much at the Heli Field and i promised myself to invest in one....Could not afford a Trex600...Altogether with Electronics,,,i only paid a total of $600...That's including Batteries and all electronics...Most of course which i got used...The only thing i got new was the Esmart 600 Kit wit Motor...Everything else was from RR in the Classified section....So it pays to search..

Any comments are welcome to discuss questions or performance....i want to hear from people who have the Esmart 600 and get your opinion as well as some of your Progressive Advice...This will give others a opportunity to wanna purchase one by seeing your comments...

i do have a question for any of you who has the time to explain....how in the world do i get the shadded plastic piece on the Canopy....Do i use Tape? or do i need to drill holes? How does that get mounted on....
i'm still new to this Hobby so forgive me for the silly questions.....Most of my other Helis came with a complete Canopy,,,This one came in 2 pieces...

It looks like the tinted plastic needs to be trimmed to fit in the flanged area for it. It's hard to tell, but it looks like the windshield gets screwed along that flange area.... I use thin CA glue on my trex helis .....

ohh ok,,i heard people use Glue...What's up Slider.....i seen u on other sections.......i have to go to the local Hobby shop and get some Glue then....I'm trying to do all my wiring now in the mean time killing time until i get my 4 Servos in the mail....I'm mounting my RX on the side of the Heli this time..Never did that before but i want that far away from anything else to prevent interference...
I also got an unusual Gyro that i never thought i would buy and hope it works..its the JR G500T and a JR 810G Tail Servo..I hear most people use a 401 Gyro so i hope this JR G500T was a good choice...Has any of you ever used on?

Almost done guys
i'm very close to getting up in the air...im now at my final stage of fine tuning..i had the wrong swash plate settings on my Radio so i gave it almost full throttle and it didnt lift...i was like....hmmmmm this is rather odd...ha ha......So i had to set my swash setting on Radio to 3-5..now i'm just adjusting my trims.....Everything seems to be ok at this point..i'm very please with all the effort i put into my First build....This is actually my first Heli i ever built...The other Helis i own were used and already put together so this was a good experience for me.....It is really big...i spun the blades in my big Bedroom and i was like WOW,,,,it IS big...Very dangerous too..I wasnt gonna Fly it,i just want to make sure my blades were in Track.....
ok i will get back to you all when i actually take it outside and hoover it......

BTW can someone be so kind as to give me some Radio setting..im using the Radio setting from my Jr. Voyager....it's gonna take me a while to get used to the termanology of these setting...I-TH,,,I-PI,,,,,etc..

CRASHED!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Wow guys,,,,today is a Sad day for me...i finally got the Heli all ready...All the Trims good,,,servos lined up battery charged so i decided to spool it up in my large Bedroom....i have no Furniture in there so it's a pretty large bedroom...Well i gave it throttle just to see if the blades seemed ballanced...All of a sudden as i let the throttle down,,the Heli decides to Jerk itself in the Air and it came right towards me...I had tail facing me and when i got in air,,,the tail just came back and crashed into the wall...I dont understand why it did that...I'm still trying to figure out what the Hell happened...Only Damage was the Blades...All the linkages,,,Shaft, and components seem to be ok...There does not appear to be any Damage anywhere else...But i cant for the life of me figure why as i'm letting down on throttle it decides to come up on it's own...Well that's a lesson for me...I cant Fly the Damm thing until i get Blades now....I think i'm just gonna order another Heli without the Motor that way i have a extra complete Set......I feel so stupid...I have tested Helis in my Bedroom before...i dont know why this happened....

Sounds like your pitch is setup backwards, when you spooled the heli up to mid stick it has enough energy in the blades to lift off as you drop the throttle down... Just a guess but I would check it out and see....

hey rhampton,
i think you found the excepton to the idea that these helis are stable in flight. in a room your sturring up alot of air and CAUSING the turbulence. my guess.

Thanks for the replies......

No i dont think the pitch was reversed...i am still investigating what it could have been..All the swash plate movements are correct..I can still move them now and it still moves good and in correct direction....This is really strange...i could see if i left it with a little throttle,,eventuall it would lift off,,,but how could it jerk up in the air once i let throttle down. I just dont GET IT!!!....Well i know for sure i wont be doing this in my room anymore.....Sometimes we learn the Hard way and this sure applied to me......Now i'm without Blades on a nice Sunday and i cant test it out now and i dont know how much a new set would cost. I'm not even sure what size blades to look for and can i get any blades from a local hobby shop?......Now i just have to wonder if my Shaft, spindle are good....they appear to be ok,,everything still spins and All linkages are in tact,,,,Is it possible to have a minor crash and the only thing that can need replacing is Blades? is that possible?

Reggie what kind of money did you spend on the Esmart 600?? I might pick one up as a beater heli and save teh 600E for a scale project.. I really like the bigger heli especially when it's 200 yards away, I can still see it....

rhampton the collar on the main shaf should between the swash and the main upper bearing should be in a position that it prohibits the main shaft from any vertical movement. if thers any up and down movement, it could cause unwanted pitch that is induced by rotor lift. any tightness in the head linkage will do this also. NEEDS to be free moving. cant emphasize this enough, freemoving with no play.

Yes, it's possible.

I would be experimenting without the blades and motor.

Verify everything.

Then, hook up the motor W/O blades.

Verify everything.

Learn what happened BEFORE you put blades on that "bad boy".
