I've been running 8v for about 3 months now, but I'm planning on adding a carb smart soon. I have the spektrum regulator used up for the 611, my question is how would I hook up the needle servo to work with 8v. Can you somehow hook it up and the 611 up too so they both are safe? I've been told that you don't need to plug in the gain part of the 611 to the regulator, does any one know if that's true? If so then that would free up a spot on the regulator for the carb smart servo. The easy way would be to buy another regulator for the servo.

Just buy another regulator.

More cash is always the easy way out

Isn't that regulator good for at least 5 amps? That should be more than enough for a CarbSmart + servo along with your 611 and tail servo.

Yes correct gimbal, but the problem is that it only has 2 input ports, and I need 3 to play safe. Unless I find out otherwise.

I'm just checking more.

Wouldn't the Y affect it, being controlled by the rudder or the gear channel?

The CarbSmart needs no signal wire from the rx. You're only using the reg for power for these two devices and servos.

I will say it again the gy611 only needs to be step down on the rudder lead ,the gain lead off the gy611 doesnt need to be stepdown you only use the gain wire pull the red/black wires and shrink wrap them. then all you need to do is use the 2nd port on the spectrum reg for the carbsmart, but only use the red/black wires, no signal wire should goto the carbsmart.....

edited post for the correct way

So If I want to use a 5-6v servo on throtle I can just connect the gain directly to the rx then stepdown just the rudder and use the other port for the throtle servo? Or better yet use a Y for the T servo and carbsmart??.

The 8v thing is looking better now , I wanted to try it but I thougt I had too many things to stepown but now this open new possibilities with the ATG being good up to 12v and the new 8v Switchglo.

torkboy do you know the max voltage the Multigov can handle?
