Flew two packs last night with out any problems. First pack today the tail started twitching. Checked all the links, tail drive gear assembly, belt tension and it still does it even played with the gain on the gyro. Any ideas ?

Check the smoothness of the tail pitch slider, Check that yuo didn't accidentally hit your rate mode switch,Check that belt tension is the same as before,Check that the heading hold light is solid (401),

Every thing is smooth as glass. Belt tension is good, using a Logictech 2100t gyro and the only way to change modes is in the radio so I don't have any switches to worry about. Temp had been the same for the last week, I always let it sit out in the sun for ten minutes before I fire it up.

these 2100,s are very sensitive to vibrations and the gyro tape plays into it quite a bit. i have 2 2100,s on 2 450,s and both have intermittent wags mostly around throttle changes.

on 1 i just did the foam mod to the gyro itself but have to wait for a new belt to test it. im trying different tape on the other to fix it as that heli is almost perfect but the tape on tht one is pretty solid and not cushioning vibrations at all. tonight ill do the foam mod and better tape and try it in the morning and get back to this post

Didn't think of that, I'll try one of the mounting pads from my 611 and see if that helps

i just did the foam mod to the second one, this one the pcb board was in nice and tight [didnt need the mod but got done anyway], the other was loose and really needed the mod to hold the gyro,s guts still.

i have softer tape installed as well and come morning i hope i loose some of the minor wag at throttle changes

nope still have it, [the gyro tape did help some though] whats weird is two different heli,s with only the same gyro have the same intermittent wag. i like this gyro and in no way am i giving up on it.

setting my throttle curve to 0-80-100 and 100-90-100 has cured it with new tape and foam mod but if i lower it to 0-65-100 i will get some wag when slowly changing throttle/pitch

Servo is mounted on two pads and still wags. Does some one have a link to the foam mod?

i just popped open my cover to the gyro and cut 2 small squares of double sided sticky tape that fit on top of the little black chip and that will hold it snug. its straight foward easy

just got the second heli up and running with all new parts no vibrations at all and this one is so clean compared to the other [almost no wag at all]. the only varible ive seen is the slop in the tail controls and that one still wags sometimes.

well they both are not wagging now. 1 had a bad pinion and the belt had busted chords as stated. took out the vibrations and no more wag.

the second had slop in the tail linkage, the slider had play and need some work to tighten it up and now its great. actually had to lower gain way down once the slop was gone too.

nothing to do with the gyro
