Its pretty good. It also gives the the CG. IMO its not constructed very well, but it works. I currently use this one. http://www.helihobby.com/html/blade...ml#PARTKYOE6001

Goob.

I have one like yours in the photo.

It doesn't work on all my helis.

Doesn't the Heli-Max have more versatility in terms of fitting the different holes in the blades?

Hey guys, the HeliMax seems to work very well. It handles blades with 2.5,3,4,and 5mm holes. I've used it for my cp all the way up to my 550.

Yes it does allow you to use differnt blades. It does do its job, but i didnt like how the legs bowed out when i used it to balance. It just felt like junk. This is JMO.

Also, you are correct about the one i use. It doesnt work on all blades. But for $4 @ my lhs, i can just pick up a differnt one when i get a differnt heli. I have seen them for helis up to the 600.

Anyway, there are many to choose from, im sure they all work.

Well im not sure if i just had a bad one, cause i did just what you did and ask around first. Most of the people said it was good, so i bought it. Well i only used it a few times and never touched it again. I sold it with my cp pro.

Mine doesnt do cg, but i made a little thing that does.

http://www.blade400repair.com/ look under blade balancing. good video.

Yes the legs did bow alot. When it was balancing you could watch them move. Maybe they were supposed to, im no expert, but it just didnt seem right. Sometimes i got differnt cg's on the same blade and the balance was off on blades i just balanced.

Now im not bashing, just giving you my experience.

I've use the helimax a number of times to balance my blades as well as other peoples and have not seen any leg bow out. I really like my little blade balancer.
