Hey everybody. I am not going to bore everyone and expect them to take 45minutes+ to explain it. And I am sure it has been discussed time and time again on here. I have a T-rex 450 SE V2 with the following: Stock Motor, ESC, Spektrum DX7 with AR7000 RX GY401 Gyro, and JR Servo Kit. I am in the process of building the bird now and I'm having a blast. I can't wait to build a 600! But anyway, If anyone knows or has the link to set up a DX 7 with similar if not identical set-up I will be running I appreciate it! Thanks.
By the way I just want it normal flight I will be doing mostly hovering and foward flight.

I think you need to know HOW to set up the heli, not just copying someone's settings. I would recommend getting onto heli-freak.com (minus the dash) and get onto the TRex 450 build videos by Finless.

Hey,

Here is a link to setting up the DX7 for your TREX450:

Check out all of the Finless TREX450 video's...they are invaluable!

I am an avid member to Helifreak and have seen many of Finless bob's build videos. I have also seen Jermos set-up. And I will ultimately relate back to them when setting mine system up. My main question was though if anyone has the exact same set-up I have as to give me a baseline to go from.

By the way thanks Skarn I appreciate it. I know you are in a way trying to help me DocJoe but at the same time this isn't a high school physics test a little copying here and there isn't going to kill anybody!!

Hey bro,

I have almost the same setup as you but with different servo's.

I am suggesting you do copy the Jermo video verbatim. I did and haven't every needed to change anything, it was spot on from the beginning.

Sweet sounds good. As I am almost finishing my build. The last to do is get better bolts/nuts for mounting the servos rather than the (cheapest part of the entire build) my opionion and install the electronics. So far the directions could have been just a little more precise but I'm sure it gets screwy in the jap to english translation. Either way I am very impressed with the way the build went as this little heli is rock solid and I can't wait to get it tuned and trimmed and in the air!

Very cool!

Yeah, the instructions are definitely lacking if you are a complete noob which I was when I built mine. If it weren't for the Finless video's, I'd have been lost!

Good luck man...looking forward to your post of "first hover....".

I know, I am just trying to help you further your heli knowledge. We all started in the same place. I hope your setup works!

I have trex 450's and each one is setup a little differently so to copy somebodies setup exactly might not work for your heli as well as if you spent the time with a pitch guage and programed your own pitch curves... But if you must copy a setup finless has the setup to copy in his videos....

Tom..... No "D" flying....
