Heres the senario....

I have an expert converted to an extreme (fully) with the stratus flybar carrier installed.

Im re-doing my links for proper set up. I have the pitch link (smallest link in the rear) with no rod showing and the swash level. Washout is level as well. The bell mixers are level too but I cant get the pitch to be 0 at mid stick? Are there newer bell mixer to grip links? If so, Anybody know the part #? Maybe I should just cut them a little?

Also, on the mixers Does the 1 to 1.3 give you faster cyclic rates than the 1 to 1 ratio???

It looks as If Im gonna end up with +15 and -13 with the swh at 60% Does this sound about right? I dunno, seems like it should be equal on both sides 14/14 (I know I wont use it all but....)?

Thanks!!

I would go for -11 + 11 max. You say you won't use 14/-14 but your collective will be much touchier then just 11.

TO get 14-14 shorten the long rods going to the swash. If you don't get zero at mid, is not a big deal. The most important is the top and bottom.

Just do it.

Figured it out... For all those who helped (Dr.Ben) TYVM.

Here it is.... If your bell mixers are level (with the link to the mixer and grip with no rod showing) and your not getting 0 pitch on on the mains you must actually cut some of the mixer to grip ball link off.

Trim only to the reinforcement and only on one ball link NOT both sides. Re assemble to get the mixer back to level and then reduce the mixer to swash link to bring it into 0 degrees on the main blades. If set up correctly you should get around 14/14 with 0 at mid stick. This is with 60% Pitch in your swh menu. At 60% in regards to ail and ele in the swh menu you'll be at about 6 degrees of cyclic.

I bumped the pitch down to 11/11 and ended up with 45% in the pitch swh menu, and increased the ail and ele to 65% which gives you roughly 7 degrees of cyclic with minimal binding at full pitch. I tried 8 degrees but it really got bound up at the top.

So, if you want more cyclic and pitch move the ratio to 1:1.3 in the bell mixer, but you'll have to decrease the pitch again to where you want it. It shouldnt bind with regards to cyclic if set up correctly with this ratio.

hope this helps somebody out there....
