Can you get the EVO 90 with a gear ratio other than 8.45?
I have a X-Spec with a gear ratio of 7.92 and would like to have a EVO 90 with the same gear ratio.
Another question, will the E3 fan hub fit the X-spec in place of the WC fan hub?
I was thinking the E3 hub may not work because of height but don't know for sure.

The US version of the EVO 90 only comes in the 8.45 gear ratio. Your best "low cost" option would be to goto 8.27 by replacing the main gear with the 91t EX gear (0414454); otherwise, you will need to replace the main gear and clutch bell/pinion to yeild 7.92.

Is I am not mistaken the E3 hub should fit as dimensions are the same as the WC's hub.

Thanks for the reply.
If I go with the 95/12 gear combination as in the X-Spec, will I be able to adjust the gear mesh?

No, you can't adjust the mesh, but that is no problem, since you won't need to . . . . all ratios in the Freya/Evo fit the same, so no adjusting is required.

I'm assuming you are running the OS 91? 7.92 works very good; however, during our testing we found the 8.27 be a better choice. You do not need to run the headspeed as high and the motor has better torque.

Yeah, I am running the 91 SZH. I have been considering the 8.27, not sure yet though.

Im actually using a YS91 motor and the heli is setup for f3c.
The XSpec works really well with 1500 headspeed in hover and about 1900-1950 in idle up. My setup is completely different than a 3D setup. I was just wanting to try the EVO90 with the f3c setup and the 8.45 gear ratio will not let me turn the headspeed I need for idle up.
Thanks for the info.

8.45 gearing gives 16055 rpm for a 1900 headspeed
The classic YS91 is good to 17000 rpm
You should be fine

I can understand if you are trying to reduce RPM due to noise
