Have spent several mo on both the XRB and the CX 2, flying around my living room. Have the Blade CP pro but havn't flown it yet. Decided to try a FP first and have the HBFP V 3 ready to go. Was wondering what heli in Phoenix would be the best to practice on. I read some where that the Spark is the only FP heli in Phoenix true? Does anybody have any other suggestions for a heli to practice on that would react similar to my HB before I rev up the "real" HB.

Try the Blade CX2 coaxiall - its fixed-pitch and is a great model to start with.

Thanks, I have been flying my real XRB and the CX 2 for a couple of months, matter of fact I just came in from flying my CX 2 outside. It has been incredibly calm today for Denver in March.

There are no FP helis in Phoenix other than the Blade CX coaxial. Even the Spark is modeled after a CP micro heli similar to a Blade CP Pro. If you just edit the Spark's settings and lower the hover stability setting to around 80% to 85%, and then learn to hover well with that, you'll be able to fly the HBFP without too much trouble. I was able to fly my FP RotoFly pretty easily once I learned to hover in one place with the Spark in Phoenix.

vrex,

I started out as you...with the HBFP and Phoenix RC. I would recommend flying a variety of the heli models in Phoenix. If you tweak the parameters, you can get the Spark close to the HBFP; however, I would just recommend flying them all.
