Hey guys

over the winter, I bought and built a tiger 50 as a new project. Did as a very budget conscious first 50 build

I put in a brand new OS 46 (actually runs great, got it cheap!), S3151 all around, used GY401 and 9252, AZ regulator I had, and a Fromeco 2400 mah relion I bought here. Also put on some gohbee CF main and tail blades. Also got a used MA governor here

Replaced those stinkin' ball link ends that cracked with raptor ones!

Anyway, finally got to "really" fly it last weekend (had test hovered a couple of times, made adjustments to setup), all I can say is WOW

This thing is smooth as silk, and very predictable!

Now I am hooked. Only thing is, I am torn between selling my Raptor 30 and getting another Tiger (or even pantera), or just upgrading the Raptor to a 50.

My one consideration is if I upograde the raptor, it is easier to get parts locally, although if I get another tiger / pantera, there is the option to exchange parts as needed

Anyway, just wanted to say what a great flying bird this is!

If you are asking, I urge you to keep the Raptor 30 and keep it as a 30. For what you'd have to take in trying to sell it, it's worth keeping. I still have mine and its one of my favorites. Totally low stress flying. It flies great on it's OS32 and runs forever on very little 15% fuel. I'd save the 50 upgrade money for your next heli.

I would keep the 30. You will never get what you paid for it and you might as well fly it. The Tiger will fly fly all over your 30 when you get happy. You will see the tiger grin. Still don't understand about the links cracking. I have built 4 Tigers and 6 Panteras without a problem. Nice to see your getting the tiger grin.

My name is Billm. Cough, and I'm a Heli Holic

I have to admit my links on the Tiger 50 mkII were cracked too. Some simply in the package and some when I tried to adjust them. I swapped them all out for Thunder Tiger/Mavrikk brand.
