I have picked up a Stratus Well kinda it's still on the big brown truck . Anyhow , are there any special tools I need to work on this bird ? I owned an Expert , I hope I like this MA heli better . It's a used bird supposed to be in real nice condition . I'm going to run a 91 hyper in it (any tips appreciated) .9451's on the swash , curtis gyro/8900 on the tail ,GV-1,MP 2.690 mm radix , because that's what i'm getting w/ it , they'll do until I can get some 710's .I was going to print the manual off MA's website until I saw how many pages are in it , damn . I'm pretty anxious to get this thing in the air .Any comments or pointers appreciated .

Well, I can tell ya, mine loves 700s with the SZ-H Hyper pumped. Make sure the dampers on the fan are good, make sure the fan gap is just right, and make sure you have the good blade grips on it. Mine came with old stlye blade grips that had the 4mm bolts. I kept having to chase down a weird vibration, turns out I was bending the blade bolts. Quick phone call and all was well.

As long as the fan is dialed in and the gap is right, she will fly as good as you hope and then some.

Wow, the ground was closer than I thought.

No need to print the manual unless you really want one. Another option on the manual is email it to your local FedEx/Kinkos and they will print a bind for you (at a pretty price, I had the one for the Razor parts manual done, cost $45 bucks but looks good). You will get a CD with the kit for assembly and it works just fine, then you can print only what you need. No special tools required other than anything normal to build a model.

You should have a small pair of circlip pliers in your box for removing the spindle or maintaining your head dampening when the time comes. Also, keep the gear mesh in the open tail case (if your machine has one) to as close to zero as you can. There is instructions on the MA website for that.

Thanx for the heads up , i'm going to break this heli all the way down and start the build from the bottom up , that's how I feel the most comfort in a used heli .Then I know what I have and I become more familar with the bird .Well, if you guys don't get tired of hearing from me , I guess you'll see me around more often .Thanx again

What sizetail blades do I run w/ 710 blades , 105mm ?? If so , I should be fine running 105mm w/ 690's .

Also , can I buy metal blade grips , washout block and washout arms for my strat ?

105's will work great for either set of main blades. As far as metal upgrades, you really do not need them and I am not sure if they even make them.
