I have just moved here about 2 months ago from up north and i have never seen wind like this. i cant imagine living in the midwest. Im sure you guys gotta fly real low... I cant even play golf out here its windy all the damn time.

So i was flying yesterday and i saw the owner of my complex. We got this indoor basketball court and i asked him if i could fly in there... he told me sure if he could watch and if i didnt break anything.

i did some mild 3D stuff, i mean i still suck but he liked it.
He liked it some much he wants to get him self one. So i sent him to my LHS to get trex 450 blade 400 something like that, this man comes back with a trex 600, dx7, tools, batteries, oh man thins thing is nice.

Now im jealous i mean this guy never flew a helicopter in his life, doesnt have any radio control experiance. and wants me to show him how. the good things out of this are now i get to fly indoors pretty much when ever i want
and i get to fly a tricked out 600.
So i guess it all works out we got one more heli guy and i get an indoor flying spot

thought some of you guys would like that story.

Sims are over rated IMO.

I learned to fly without a sim and now when I try one I crash constantly, yet I fly mild 3D with no problems. Different feel or orientation I guess.

I don't miss the Florida wind at all. I can barely fly when I go to visit friends and family. And it gets worse as you get closer to the coast. Well at least you have Mickey Mouse and 10 billion bad driving tourists!

I was Spektrum when Spektrum wasn't cool

Well there will not be much flying in the UK this week end as they are going for 80mph plus winds and the lowest barometric pressure system for 100 years! and the bottom for the UK is about 950 millibars! Still, life aint all that bad with the UK POUND £ buying some good US gear at good prices for a change! Its an ill wind

Mutt!

Actually, we are supposed to be Finally! headed for the 50's and maybe
even 60's!

Has to be real nice to have an indoor area, anytime you want it, though.

Man I dont know its been snowing since noon yesterday I think i can take that 80% humidity, while you guys are flying today I am going outside for the 2nd time today to snow blow 3ft drifts...... On the wind note I was in Hawaii last year and those trade winds are brutal I wonder how those guys fly with a constant 20-25 mph wind ....practice I guess

I should sent you guys a picture of the record snowfall that we have had this year in Montreal, Quebec, Canada. I'm wondering if it is all going to be melted for our Funfly late Auguest. I have a least 7 feet of snow on my front lawn. At our club, where we fly all year long, was about 4 feet snow banks and this weekend they are forcasting another 2 and a half feet. So when ever we get a not too cold and not too windy winter day our club house is full of guys wanted to fly.
