When i turn on my reciever/tx and the gyro initializes and the servo cranks all the way to one side and the red light just blinks on the gyro. If I leave it the gyro keeps blinking...

I'm 99% sure everything is hooked up correctly.

Any ideas?

The fact that it keeps blinking means its not getting a signal on the gain wire. That is you dont have your gain set up correctly in your radio.

http://www.raptortechnique.com review his dx7/gyro instructions and make sure (check the servo monitor screen) that whatever switch you have your gyro tied to is actually the channel the gain wire is plugged into.

Also since you shaved the tabs make sure that the yellow wire is aligned with the white wire from the other connector on the gyro, not the black wire.
