Just an observation on my personal experience since embarking on the fascinating world of rc aerial video.
I do commercial video work primarily for the outdoor sports industry. I have found that merely the idea and potential of rc aerial video is a very powerful stand alone marketing tool. My workload has increased greatly the past six months just on word of mouth in the industry and the excitement it brings to potential clients.
In the end, I only use aerial video in maybe about 5-10% of the completed project. But the heli alone is bringing excellent exposure to an otherwise challenging market to break in to.
I joke to my friends that just owning a helicam and not even flying it will get you work, whether you choose to use it or not in the final production.
