I CHARGED MY LI-PO IN NI-MH MODE!!!
For that reason alone, even though I have more than one charger and they all charge more than lipos, I use 1 exclusively for charging lipos - nothing else.

Good luck on your battery.

Having my heli: Cool, Having a working heli: Awesome, Having a day to fly: PRICELESS!

eggmcmuffinplz - It's unlikely that you did any damage with such a short time. I know a person that charged a lipo in Ni-mode a couple of time and flew them just because he forgot to bring his lipo charger to the field. He did in time destroy the battery but it didn't puff-up or catch fire when charging.

If the wings are traveling faster than the fuselage, it's probably a helicopter.

As long as you don't let each cell exceed 4.25V you can charge it with anything!

That's for sure, I caused $2000 damage to my new volvo V50 by overcharging a Li-ion pack. It exploded and caused a small fire, damaging all the carpets in the back! Now I use a LiPo bag and check carefully during charging!

Yes, I put it in the back of the car on a low trickle current and went off for the rest of the day. It was a small Li-ion pack and I didn't know at that time that they can explode (ie not overheat but detonate with a chemical reaction producing a lot of heat) if overcharged. Now I know!

Yup, Hard lesson to learn! I've read about car fires from charging
inside under various conditions...

That would be the one! Not so nice in the back of a new car. Its worth always taking proper precautions with LiPos. You never know when a small mistake can lead to disaster!
