Hey I'm jonesin' for a flight right now. Weather has been yuck.

Funny, they may not be the absolute top mechanics available, but they go and go and go... very little maintenance required (between crash rebuilds)... Rebuilds are as cheap as could be too.

Never, ever, ever, ever give up.

I have been lucky so far. 450seV2 has only needed dampners replaced and one tail belt. Have over 50 flights on this one.

My 600 has been about the same. Stock except for 11 tooth pinion and changed to CC HV 85 ESC, but old one wasnt bad.

The only heli I upgraded was 600N. All metal head/control arms/tail etc, but I abuse it. LOL

I have to admit, I started off with bigger nitro heli's. My flying buddy told me I should get a trex 450, just for a super fun great flying heli. I didn't see the purpose of buying a smaller heli to go along with my larger nitro birds. Well, after a while, I bought one. I LOVE my trex 450. What an awesome flying little heli that is easy to take with you anywhere.

I am in the same boat I fly the Fury 90's and had put off the tiny heli but I finally treated myself to a Trex SE V2. Its so tiny compared to the 90 but I am enjoying the build. The lipo cost had put me off in the past but the battery prices for the SE I can live with.

Got some 450 Love!!!
Love Mine! Got rid of my Hurricane 200 and went back to a 450. The last one I had was the old XL version. Went from that to the SE V2, what a great little heli! Flys absolutely amazing!

Do you think the Se V2 handles better then the xl, when just sport flying.

I have an xl, and I don't 3d, have thought about upgrading, but not sure if it is worth it since I am just flying around. May think harder about it if I get into 3d flying.

From what I can remember of my old XL, this thing flys really stable and precise. I have no expo or flybar wieghts, ultralite paddles, carbon blades, etc... and it stays where I put it. IMO, this is one of the best 450's out there.

If i had a digital camera i'd post pics but i dont...

anyway, i love my rex. Got it used from a guy on RCG and its been flying awesome!!

just had my first major crash and did some upgrading to metal head and tail. Best heli ever! flies rock solid everytime all the time. Probably over 100 flights on it and its still workin awesome. i just love looking at it sitting there on my desk begging me to fly it!

i guess i just figured out where the money for a digital camera went

No I got the canopy from CanopyFX. It was listed in their online store. I got one custom made for my 600N at the same time. You could see it in my gallery.

Nice to read a forum where everyone is so happy with their bird. I have done most of my flying with a blade cp, somedays I love it somedays I hate it, but usually I love it.

I have a Trex 450xl and am finally getting comfortable with it, I have been intimidated by the complexity of the belt driven tail, and getting everything working together correctly along with the radio. I have a small front yard with big trees and a crowded back yard, the blade has always been easier to fly in small spaces.

When I have time I take my Rex to the local church and fly in their yard, much bigger. I probably have about 200 flights on it and I have had to do some work on it but have been pretty cautious and have had few crashes. I think this summer is going to be the year of the Trex in my neighborhood. The Rex flys much better then my blade cp especially if there is any breeze.

I must admit - I Love My Trex 450xl, but it may be time to move up to a SE V2. I like where the battery is mounted much better, for mid line balance and it can be attached much better.
