If the one-way bearing has given out there is no fix for it - at least not one I would feel confident flying.

Is the Hyperdrive one-way bearing a "standard" bearing or is it specific to the hyperdrive itself?

If it is "standard" does anyone know of any compatible bearings? fir example is it the same as the Hirobo started shatf bearing or the T-Rex 450 one-way etc?

Thanks
Marc

One way
If you need to replace the one way bearing go to RC-Bearings.com

Part #HFO612 one way bearing you are looking for and it only cost 7 bucks. Five bucks cheaper then most of the heli sites are selling them at and you have to buy 2 for 25 bucks.

checking hyper drive
Here is a quick and easy way to check the hyper drive. Pull your complete assembly out of your boom along with the front gear that is attached to the front coupler. Pull your tail rotor off your boom and assemble the entire thing back together out side of the boom. From this point I secure the front gear in a vice with it being protected with couple pc's of thin wood. With this secure I then grab the tail rotor and begin to twist in the locking direction and then look for slippage. You have 4 different areas to make sure it doesn’t slip. The two one-way bearings, and then the two split collars. With testing it this way you will find out real quick if you have any slippage, vs- with it in your machine and chancing stripping your crown gear.

Good luck!!!

When putting the two split collars on, put a little red locktite on the shafts. Use what loctite you prefer on the screws, and tighten them up good.

(This is advice I got from Hyperformance.)

Also they did not want to use set screws there because tightening them would push the TT off center.

Good Advice. Good system.
