I am very interested in this heli. Upon first glance I share the concern about how the cyclic servos will do in a crash given where they are located. I truely hope that I am concerned about nothing. I was initially surprised to see a belt drive tail however I hope that this will help to keep the cost down. I will be watching this heli's release and the field reports from us consumers very closely because I would love to have a second high quality 50 size to sit next to my Vibe. I have never owned a MA but I know from friends expirience that they are extremely high quality!! He flys a 14 year old x-cell gasser that he has never crashed and also never had to touch anything on, now that is awesome!! Has anybody heard anything on the price yet? I hope to see it for 600$ or less. That would be perfect.

Not sure what you're talking about "stuck up". I have called them before and Tim was more than happy to discuss replacing parts and set up with me. A stand up individual for sure.

,I do not know who you PM'D,
The poster here named 'Miniature aircraft'.
but I know they are not on here much, if any
They started this thread and They did get both my PM's because they came up as 'read' in my PM box.
or called they would answer
I don't see why I should, a read PM is as good as anything. Also to ring the USA from the UK is very expensive !
they are stuck up because you have not heard from them regarding your PM?
No, not just because of that. I've been told and read other peoples posts as well, my PM question just confirms it.
Dude, get a life.
I do have one, and have had one for many many years, thank you !

If there's one thing I've learned in life now, it's to go with my gut. My gut says keep away, so that's what I'm going to do.

Thanks for all your help guys, feel free to bash me all you want.

I'm out of here.

Rob.

RBush, you're wrong. Sure there is an generic MA account, but I'd be surprised if Tim posted on here more than once in a year. The MA account is for advertising! If say a rep posts a video, Mark Ryder will change the users screen name to the generic 'MA'. You def. need to think things through before you bash a manufacturer on a public forum next time.

I'd also like to add that MA reps are usually good guys at all the fun flys. They're always answered my questions and helped me with a huge number of things. So to say they're 'stuck up' is a ludacris accusation.

Rob... I don't think anyone is trying to bash you.
They are simply sticking up for a company and people they happen to know. Just like you are sticking up for yourself

If you want help or have a question about the 50 why not just ask it here? Many MA reps are here that could answer your questions.

English lesson for the day

X-Cell = Excel as in to exceed expectations

transitive verb : to be superior to : surpass in accomplishment or achievement

intransitive verb : to be distinguishable by superiority : surpass others <excel in sports>

at least that's what I've always associated to it

The frames for my Stratus were $70 per side last time I checked. I wouldn't expect the prices to be much cheaper seeing as how carbon keeps getting more expensive. Good thing is that I've seen Bobby plow his 50 in a number of times and I've never seen the frames break.

How did the front cyclic servos hold up in these crashes?

Hmmmmm
I was just stating the obvious here. I love MA and flew nothing but MA back in the day (late 80's / early nineties). Heck, you could even get Tim on the phone now and then. I have no problem with the people, their product (I believe) is very, very good, etc. etc.
I just don't understand telling people, "the end of next month", "by IRCHA" and a FULL YEAR later, you hear the same things. It just seems to me they would be a little more careful about dates. I know some of this is guys like us hearing that we WANT to hear, but geez, they say it right on their OWN WEBSITE. I just seems like after the Aurora debacle, that companies would keep release dates a little closer to the vest. I'm short on cash right now, but as soon as I have it, I'm in for a 50 nitro and they would be worth waiting for, but if I can't rely on when that thing is going to release, then I'm going Vibe. Just my two cents.....

I've never seen Bobby blow a cyclic servo from a crash. In fact last time I helped him rebuild after a crash all we replaced was a boom and a mainshaft.

The cyclic arrangement is not new for MA. The Razor and Furion 450 share the same design. I think I've plowed my Furion about a dozen times and the closest I've come to blowing a cyclic servo was yesterday when I broke a servo arm. I def. wouldn't worry about blowing up cyclic servos on this machine.

Thats very good to hear. I was curious becuase I have zero expirience with that arrangement. Well after knowing that all I need to see is what it is going to cost and then I just might be getting one.

I've never seen an official MA statement about when the Furion 50 is ready. I do have enough patience for a perfect product though.

the servos are actually supposed to hold up fine in a crash, I've also heard that the parts for the ma 50 are supposed to be right around trex 600 prices.
