They both have new heads. More flybar see-saw travel, straight updated CF cage supports, a longer flybar, new bearing arrangement, etc.... They basically look like Furion 450 heads except they have head buttons, plastic blade grips, and laser engraved designs on the block.

I'm surprised nobody uploaded photos from Birmingham where Jeff was displaying the new 50 head.

Did I miss an event?

Glad Bobby got another 90; the one he left with from Bham was looking pretty rough.

question. a few months back, i asked miniature to place me on the waiting list. Do you think it'll be best to get it from them when it is released or reserve it with heliproz?

It'd probably be cheaper to go through heliproz. I believe MA sells at MAP so that way they're not undercutting the dealers.

I talked with MA at Toledo Saturday. Price is $619. Expected release is 2-3 weeks. (YES, He did say weeks) This info is for the 50. Nice looking heli. Bad layout of servos. The rear cyclic servo and tail servo is gonna get soaked in exhaust oil. They should have put them on the other side on the heli.

2-3 Weeks is good!

We'll see how bad the exhaust gets on them. If you use an exhaust deflector, it won't be as bad.

Besides, it's not like you don't get oil on your servos already with your current heli. And to my knowledge, the oil won't hurt the servos anyway. Especially if you clean your heli after you're done flying.

I'm certain that the direct servo connection is going to be great. Fewer ball links, less resistance, NO BELLCRANKS (except the tail). Woooo hooo!

WIN WIN for MA!

I forgot my camera for Toledo.

I am still concerned because my Vibe 50 gets soaking wet, and I mean driping wet with oil in that back frame area by the muffler. A little oil, ok. That much oil, I dunno. It would have been better placement to have them on the other side of the frame no matter what IMO. Doesnt really make or break the heli but if I had one I would be a little concerned about this.

If your flight style includes alot of backwards flight (especially inverted) than there is no way around this I'm afraid. Just yesterday my Vibe 50 was the prefered source of fresh oil for all the Sailplane guys at my field who decided to lube their aileron and elevator joints with it... I had enough oil dripping from my machine to lube 5 gliders and still had plenty when I wiped the machine at the end of the day.
