hi my friends,

a have a r50 se and during my last flight i heard a strange noise.
when i check the heli o saw that de starter shaft its higher than usual and hit de plastic canopy

i take off the skis, muffler and engine to check clutch bell and starter shaft. everything for me is ok.

but where the starter shaft is fixed? its starts inside de clutch but how can i fix it to avoid go up again?

what can cause the starter shaft go up?

IN R50 MANUAL, I SAW IN PAGE 6 A "THRUST WASHER" BUT A CANT FIND IT IN MY MODEL. I HAVE A HSM-E-CLIP BUT JUST IT.

thanks

The bottom of the start shaft has a C clip and washer. The washer goes between the C clip and the clutch bell. Then you push the shaft up while you push the start coupling down and cinch the set screws on the coupler to make sure there is no up/down play.

You dont, the clutch has a 1 way bearing.

The clutch end of the start shaft should have about 4 mm of shaft, followed by a c-clip (theres a ring groove in the shaft where the c clip goes) followed by a washer. The c clip holds it from moving up.

After that the shaft goes up through the bearings and is held in place by the start shaft coupler and its set screws. When you install the engine the 4mm sticking down from the clutch bell will sit in the one way bearing in the middle of the clutch.

Same question... I have a VelociRaptor V2 and a HyperRaptor V2... in both manuals on Page 6 it does not show a washer above the E-Clip.. and on RaptorTechnique manual Page 4 does not show washer, but Page 7 does.

I think that maybe TT added this as my older VelociRaptor did not include the washer, but my newer HyperRaptor does. I guess if you got the washer.. put it in.
