Hallo,

Sometime ago there was a URL in a topic of this forum with a website which offered a small round box with various micro screws.

The box had pie shapped seperations which held different sized (but very small) screws. If I remember correctly it was a white box with a clear plastic lid.

I need some small screws to fasten some windows to my fuselage and believe that item is just what I am looking for...

After 30 minutes of searching I hope you don't mind me opening this thread and someone knows what I am talking about.

Regards,
David

Peter Wales informed me of the pie-pack of screws that RUFFYB posted above. It is amazing how small some of them are. Much, much smaller than anything Microfasteners stocks. A great thing to have around the shop. I bought four of them just in case...

Ruffub>Was it this one?

Yes, thats what I was talking about!
Thanks.

I will order some of them and see if they suffice.

(I had hoped they had philips heads, the descriptions mentions they all have slotted heads..)

While I have this thread open, the nicest micro screws I have found are some ones that were included with a Raptor Titan.
They are used to fix the canopy screen to the main canopy. These are very nice M 1.2 self tapping (black) screws with philips heads.

It however doesn't seem possible to order them somewhere.
Thunder Tiger does include 2 pieces when you order a complete canopy set. However, ordering 10 canopies sets, to get 20 screws, is a bit too much..

Peter Rob>Go to Vario, they do screws you are looking for.

I did take a look at them when I was searching.
I found one type which they also list in the building instructions of there kits to fix windows. However, I find them a bit 'rough'.

Seattle_helo>Peter Wales informed me of the pie-pack of screws that RUFFYB posted above.

Before I opened this thread I also had his name in my head.
I even searched in some of his message for 'screws'.
The only thing I came up with was how he was 'screwd' with the tailrotor drive of his blackhawk..

@everyone else>

Thanks for the answers and suggestions.

dbo, I know the description says it only contains slotted-head screws, but there are some phillips. Very nice ones, actually. I would guess the size at 0-80 (approx. M1.2)

Also, the smallest screws in that pack are well below .5mm in diameter. Very hard to pick up!
