I have been flying Nitros for a while but just purchased a MX450 so I could have something to fly at home. What is the Best ESC for the bird. I currently have a Thunderbird 36, but was told that is not good for a heli. I was looking at the Pheonix 35, and Zapp 40, don't know much about the Aligns. Would like some opinions. I am currently running a 25 Motor, but am looking at the 35 and 40's in case I want to upgrade later.

I have the quark also. The slow start feature is nice.

Check out trex tuning. Some motors work better with one ESC than another.

I just bought a team orion 45 amp, got it for a steal off ebay for cheap brand new. Seems decent for the money and team orion has been around forever so i think they know what they are doing.

The answer to your question is the Jazz.

Hey,

For max power the Quark is your best bet, the Jazz's are known to have the best govenors though.
JK use's Quarks in his 450 models for max power so there must be something in it.

I have flown Quarks for sometime now, running an 80b in my Swift16 and the smaller 33a in my 450 machines and they are great.

The only gripe I have with them is the very first power up after connecting the flight pack starts with the slow spoolup, if you land, power down then go to take off again there is no slow start. But it's ok if your used to it.
