Got to tell ya it was a great day. Flying with the stock mixing lever links, the stock black paddles, Align Carbon fibers and Carbon Fiber tail rotors with the 30% was a perfect set up. I guess I finally got the belt tension right for the outside temp because she had no belt slap in the boom today, that was a problem for me for a wile. A little windy at first but by about 4 Pm there was no wind at all. My problms with the header tank going dry before the main was solved, LOL , by replacing both tanks when I could not isolate the poblem. Remember? I worked them both over and could not find the problem - Well no more problem. I got the carb. tuned to with in one click of to rich and to lean. ( for todays weather anyway ) Today we finally looked at each other nose to nose, scared the hell out of my self and did not do that again for the rest of the day, why push my luck when she was so perfect other wise. I did a little fine tuneing of head speed to increase stability and that was it. $40.00 bucks later and a gallon of fuel to smoke, and I was done. I think maybe my neck strap is holdng my radio up to hi because I noticed by right hand getting a little numb. I like my radio up hi but maybe it's keeping my blood from circulating to my hands giving me that tingle feeling. That or it was just from feer!! LOL. I was working with tight fast figure 8's today, I know it's not much to some of you but it's a big deal for me. I do not think you can fly good if you have a fear of putting her in and I can not get over that fear just yet. After I was done my buddy came down with his new Trex-500E. I just taught him to hover a few weeks ago with a smaller ship, it was a 450SE I think, I foget the make. I never set up a swash plate like that one before but before long I had evereything level and the pitches all set up. I did his DX6 set up next and put on his training gear then set up the tail rotor pitch. Once she was holding steady I snapped on the heading hold and broght her up. My gosh she went into a perfect hover needing only a little elevator sub trim. We were amazed, him because it hovered so nice and I because I did not think I could figure out a ship like that. That ship is the perfect size for indoor fooling around too, we happen to have a big club house for those rainy days. Now I want one of those to but I can not afford it. LOL. Sunday it's supposed to rain so I will PM my ship at the club house, my buddy will pratice inside and if the rain lets up I will get a flight in if I can. I have to get fuel someware to but that's just a short ride. After having so much trouble it was nice to have a day like today.... Good Night all....
